Buffalo Bills training camp observations! (1 Viewer)

I'm sure checking the RBBC situation and snap counts for each RB.

How Poz looks and which LBs are in during 3rd down situations.

I went Tuesday when contact was minimal. Nothing jumped out at me yet. I will go again soon.

As a Bills fan watch the DT rotation.

As a FF fan. Watch for Parrish and Everett.

Losman's accuracy. It hasn't been talked about a whole lot by Chris Brown on the Bills website and I'd like to know if he's being consistently accurate or not.

How's the O-line looking in both run blocking and pass blocking? Blown assignments? Guys getting beat regularly?

Who will win the #2 CB spot? Youboty?
Right now it looks like it's between Jason Webster and Jabari Greer. Youboty has been working almost exclusively with the 2nd team I believe. I think Webster has the inside track but he hurt either his foot or ankle I believe it was and Greer looked pretty good last night supposedly.

Roscoe Parrish is one guy to keep your eyes on. The coaches want to get him involved more into the passing attack and, outside of Lee Evans, he's probably the most explosive/big play threat on the team.

interested in this and how all RBs look, specifically Lynch and A-Train

Which LB's at which positions?

Crowell's the SLB, Ellison at WLB and POZ at MLB, right?

Who's the 3rd down backers, the "nickle backers"?

My buddy was there yesterday and says Parrish didn't make much of an impact....he says Josh Reed looked really good though, and was taking reps alongside Evans with the 1st team O.

JP REALLY likes Reed. Could be an ok year for him in deep leagues. I heard Losman in a recent interview talk about how Reed "Does so many things perfectly" referring to route running and post-snap decisions.

QB - nothing really stood out, which is a great thing, JP made his throws, nothing deep today, alot of check downs and hitch routes and seemed to hit his runningbacks in the flat more often.

RB - Lynch is the real deal, runs very hard and finishes every time. very fluid pass catcher, Aside from him nobody else stood out - A-train dropped a couple passes, Fred Jackson looked good, Didn't seem to notice Dwayne Wright today.

WR - Price played well had a few touchdowns in redzone play made a nice diving sliding catch in the corner of the endzone. Parrish caught a lot of hitches and Evans made some nice hook and short slant catches. (Alot of people think he's only a deep threat but he can be a solid possesion WR if his other wr's help out)

TE- Everett was one of the top 3 players IMO who stunk today - He dropped 3 or 4 easy passes, Royal I didn't notice much except he did make a nice TE screen reception

O-line - Dockery and Peters were solid and they are huge. Folwer held his own as well, Walker is horrible, He was consistantly beat by the Denney, Kelsey combo all day, seems like he didn't feel like working in the 90 degree heat, but he was smiling. Tim Anderson also got nothing on Fowler. I also thought Jason Whittle got walked over a few times.

D-Line - Mccargo was un-noticeable today - Hargrove didn't practice - Anderson was garbage he was picked on by coaches all day - On one drill after Anderson got owned and put his hands up knowing he did, the coaches drew him offsides on a few hut's - Schobel was great he and Peters battled all day. He was teaching Kelsey and the younger guys. Ah You is kind of tiny too.

LB's - Poz is bigger then people think he got first team reps with Crowell, Coy Wire is very smart but was getting third team reps, Haggan got ripped on by coaching for asking what to do on certain plays "We have been doing this for two years, what do you mean you don't know how" - Various LB's rotated in the starting lineup with Poz and Crowell, I didn't notice Ellison much - I was focused in on watch Poz work - He was getting extra coaching but he'd stick hard on blockers looked real impressive. Digorgio didn't dress.

CB's/SS/FS - Whitner looked great, was blitzing alot and made some nice coverage, I didn't notice Simpson but again thats a good thing when you don't notice your DB's - Greer played awesome had two picks. Youboty had a nice hit and played respectable coverage. I donk thnk Webster dressed, Kilwuakee Thomas got first team reps today with Mcgee - who I didn't notice much of.

In recap - I thought the LB's looked real good, Langston Walker, Kevin Everett and Tim Anderson were very very poor, JP was accurate and made his throws, the left side of the line was solid, Whittle got beat when he was in. The 2nd CB job is still being up for grabs but Thomas got 1st team (Webster was out) and then Greer made two picks, Youboty had a good day too.

As for Crowell, he was the 1st one over to the LB's and looks like he is the leader of this group. Didn't notice anything about last years injury.

Evans pretty much was only a possession WR before the Houston game last year.

Excellent work, and thanks. In my area of the country it's very hard to follow the Bills as they receive zero coverage. Been a Bills fan my whole life, appreciate the effort.

Love the user name - was going to go to canton tomorrow but things didn't work out how I had liked them too.I won't even be able to watch on TV - No NFL Network -Go Bills.

Good stuff.Trent Edwards?
Got to work with some first string WR's and second team. Had some very nice throws. Should be able to take over the 2nd string job very early in the season or late preseason if he plays well enough. I couldn't figure out who QB 10 was but realized it was Kevin Eakin from NFL Europe - He and Nall also got a lot of work today.

How does Edwards compare to Losman when Losman was a rookie?

That's a very good question - I didn't watch him for awhile but Edwards had poise and looked like he knew what he was doing more then Losman - This is a different system/staff and this is Losman's team and the team realizes that. For once there is no QB debate.

Not yet. :goodposting: Thanks for the updates.

Poster from Frankfurt, Germany here and watched him 6 times last year. Forget about him, he never managed to beat out JT O'Sullivan (Bears) and looked absolutely horrible (except for one game) every time he hit the field. No competition for Nall.Cheers

A Buffalo Bills player is in jail, accused of striking a Rochester police officer during a confrontation on St. Paul St. early Sunday morning.

Police arrested Buffalo Bills defensive end Anthony Hargrove, a fourth year player with the team.

He's charged with harassment, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Rochester Police initially responded to reports of fighting on St. Paul St. just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

They arrived on scene to find 300 to 400 people on the sidewalk.

That's when police say they used pepper spray to disperse the crowd and Hargrove was unintentionally sprayed.

Officers say Hargrove then struck a police sergeant in the face, breaking his glasses.

When police tried to subdue the player, they say his brother Terrence jumped in.

Police say when Anthony Hargrove resisted arrest, he was pepper sprayed again.

Both were taken into custody.

Anthony Hargrove is in jail on $1,100 cash bail.

Terrence Hargrove is charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Buffalo Bills players reported to training camp in the Rochester area on July 25.

Q - What's the best thing about training camp?

A - When you stretch your groin it feels so good yet it hurts so bad.

Marshawn Lynch

Ugh. Walker was the one move that I was REALLY not happy about this offseason. I would MUCH prefer the Bills start Pennington at RT. I think Butler will end up winning the RG spot over Whittle. I hope that he does anyway.

Agree, Walker has looked great run blocking - He just gets walked around by the faster DE's against the pass. I like Butler too at RG. They like Whittle at depth but he didn't show me much at camp either. I agree with Pennington at RT and moving Walker to RG but that won't happen.

Any info on who is taking on the PR and KR duties in camp? Terrence McGee?
McGee will be the primary KRParrish at PR
Thanks! Has A-train been taking a lot of snaps with the 1st team? Are we still looking at a RBBC approach as was stated by Coach Jauron?
RBBC as Jauron is loyal to A-train until he retires.Lynch will be far more valuble in PPR leagues. I see him getting 12-15 carries a game for about 55 yards and like 3 catches for 20-25 yards = 12 points with a TD (6-8 times) As the season goes on he should become far more valuable.

Can you explain how Jauron likes A-Train so much?
