Message board survivor league with IDPs only.

We'll probably do the draft at MFL to make things easier.

22 round draft, survivor schedule just like the other leagues.

Starting lineup:

2 DE

1 DT

3 LB

2 CB

2 S

1 FLEX

with 11 bench spots.

I have never tried this before, but I will definitely be interested if there are enough openings available.

IN - I'd like to try to better my week 2 booting last year.
Didn't notice the IDP's ONLY part of this, as that was not the deal last year. Count me OUT, as this would only be my 2nd IDP league ever, and I don't think I could hang at all without some offensive players.Good luck to all!!!!

Timing is everything but since it's draft only, and since MFL supports draft only on a free basis, I'm in.Would like to know the scoring criteria before we fire 'er on up....i.e., please publish or link to FBG's IDP Scoring.

thanks Rody's.

16 teams would be ideal but we can probably adjust to 13 or 14 if we need to.

I'll set up the league today at MFL with what we have. If we get more people, great. If not, we'll just roll with what we have I guess.

Done at 14 slots filled ????

If I remember correctly, there were only 14 teams last year, but it (the league) included offensive players.

I wish I had the balls to try this in '09.........

There were 16 last yr, I crashed and burned in the final week. Come on Rody, give it a try. There's room in here for 2 Eagle fans. If McNabb and Vick can coexist, why not us?

I could coexist. I just don't trust my drafting abilities when it comes to IDP ONLY. I'm not that smooth on IDP ONLY.Basically, it comes down to me being scared. Make sense?Besides, I thought I made that clear (in a foggy kind of way) much earlier in this thread.

Yeah, I get your drift. I found that I had to do a lot of researching I just wasn't comfortable with the first time I joined an all IDP league. Was worth the trouble though. I now rank them up there with my favorites. However it does take a lot of extra time, especially the first time. Heck, that's what we have Jene, Rud, Bloom, and Norton for. Their massive IDP brains are there for the picking

Randomized draft order and here were the results:

1.01 1. skyrattlers Waiting On skyrattlers For The Next Pick

1.02 2. Bramel

1.03 3. Maggot Brain

1.04 4. Patsfan39

1.05 5. future_itisnow

1.06 6. Trader Jake

1.07 7. Chaos Commish

1.08 8. snellman

1.09 9. buck56

1.10 10. Rudnicki

1.11 11. kurtrudder

1.12 12. Twilight

1.13 13. Toads

1.14 14. Brehh

MFL page is set up here:

http://www99.myfantasyleague.com/2009/home/51431

For owners who participated last year, your email address should still be there but MFL made me update the passwords to include a non-letter. So, I just used p@ssword as the password for every team. Please check in and change your password and update your email address.

We can start drafting anytime. I won't turn the timer on until we're past round 1 and everyone has checked in.

And away we go......

I have a feeling I'm not going to like drafting from this spot....

I decided to grab Willis over Allen simply because I already have Allen in the Balanced Scoring 1 survivor league. Also this league doesn't offer Allen the benefit of his late bye week being an advantage.

PMd Snellman.

Just a note, if you see my predraft make the selection chances are I'm not around to PM the next person, so please feel free to do so if you're paying attention.

We should have this thing finished up by the end of the weekend anyway, right?

Was just loading the email address information for my contacts in my email address deal; which is Brehh and Twilight.

Looks like Chaos Commish (mail7@mail.com) and Patsfan (mail6@mail.com) are :

1) Husband and wife, or

2) closely related somehow, or

3) we're playing in a 13 Man League.

Was Up Here?

And, was there ever any consideration given to 3rd Round Reversal Draft sequence? It's not too late for that to be considered/implemented.

P.S. Checked in....thanks, guys.

:moneybag: 1. Nope. I'm divorced.

2. Nope. Pats fans are culled at birth in my family.

3. Strike three.

Could be we both don't want our email published?

Those emails were generic defaults Aaron put in as placeholders.

Ten Four.

Five, Five.

Two, Two.

Good Buddy.

If it's a placeholder, so be it....we're communicating.

I emailed the turn....all three guys....and suggested that they draft and lay down a pre-pick when they did so....worked slick.

We're waiting on patsfan....so, I'll dig out his link and PM him and suggest he PM future when he's done and then PM and then future PM's trader. and so on.

If everyone takes the time to return to this thread, dig out the contact and PM when they've drafted it will work.

If we don't communicate, this will be a disaster. :goodposting:

Message sent to a participant in this draft Under the title of For Whom The Bell Tolls.

when it appears in your PM alert, please follow the idea and let's move this mess along.

U R UP IDP DRAFT

OK, here's the drill:

1) When you are done, go to the sign up thread and dig out the link for the guy that drafts after you (in your case, it's future).

2) Add future as your friend.

3) Return to "Your Message" here at FBG's.

4) Open up this message and forward it to future.

5) Click save a copy of this message when you forward it

6) The saved copy will be in your saved box so next time you need to send a PM to future, you just

7) Go to the saved message record and forward the same message again.

Now, you do this for the guy that is above and below you in each other the even and odd rounds progressions and

Let's Move This Turtle Along

Toads, I agree we could solve one person delaying everyone else with a quicker clock, and that person would be free to make up the picks when the online issues he kindly and reasonably explained to us clear up, but likewise I agree with Twilight -- 9 rounds 6 days, with the typical slow start isn't terrible. Maybe a post like yours above just makes things worse. MB explained his access issue, hustled off to a library to pick, apologized, and is doing what he can. No sense tolling bells unless you're commish. <_<

I think we're doing alright so far. Slows down at times, but that's to be expected as people get busy and have other things going on sometimes.

people can predraft at MFL so there really shouldn't be too many long delays...or complaints about the pace. I don't think anyone is taking an inordinately long amount of time thus far so don't think a shorter clock is warranted.

In a perfect world this draft would be blazing fast, but I agree with Aaron on this one. We are moving at a good pace, people are clearly checking in when they can. No slackers or anything in here.
