I was really liking my team this year. Now it's just another lame duck entry. Unfortunately it may have enough to prolong the misery for a few weeks. Please Mr Turk, just do it this week, make it fast and painless!

as a Vick owner (part of a three headed QB), I am very concerned about my team going forward... also my QBs and RBs suck, too
I have Vick as well, but only a 2 headed QB monster :( . All up to Romo now, and just hoping Vick can return before Romos bye in week 11. Knew I should have grabbed a 3rd cheap QB.
Like Schaub? ;) Oh wait he's busy losing his job... :kicksrock:

:goodposting: :sadbanana: Hope he can keep it during Peyton's bye...

I went Cameron/Thomas/Gronk. 34/39 survival rate for this strategy, and I expect that rate to stay pretty high.
I went Graham/Gronk/Thomas. Really hope Gronk is back this week. My dumb decision on David Wilson is killing me at RB (and Kaep at QB), so I need all the TE points in the flex spot I can get. I think I have a decent enough team to keep going a few weeks, maybe more, but Gronk is a really big part of that. I still can't believe I didn't grab a few dollar more RB to pair with Forte instead of Wilson. If I did that, I would be feeling really good about this team even with Kaep/Romo.

Teams with Graham, Gonzalez, and Thomas

Survival rate for ALL teams: 62.53 percent
Survival rate for teams with these players: 100.00 percent

Total teams with these players 3

Thinking my powerhouse TE trio was unique then found 100% suvivral rate for all 64 teams with

Gates, Cameron and J Thomas.

I have these three! Best choice I made with my team!
Welcome to the (what I like to think is an) exclusive club!114 for life...

...or at least until this thing is over.
If I had these three (I don't) I think I'd be rooting for some attrition. If all advance, that's less chance of these guys making a significant impact for you in the finals.

I have all 3 as well, but I also have (had) Julio...so count me out...

114 + Eifert at TE

Picking Blackmon/Gordon was my move to get elite WR1 talent for cheap.

Throw in Kenbrell/TY/Givens/Miles Austin

McCoy/Forte/Lacy/DRich seems to be working, went cheap at qb with Luck/Geno

3 Def/3 PKs

Everyone has counted at least once except Eifert and back up RBs.

My 3rd year in this I believe, I think it is my best team.

Only have to start 2 WRs each week really changed the format IMO.

QB Vick (1/5) Peyton (4/5)

RB Peterson (4/5) Miller (2/5) B. Brown (0/5) Powell (5/5) Taylor (0/5) R. Brown (1/5)

WR A Johnson (3/5) Gordon (2/5) Blackmon (1/5) Hartline (3/5) DHB (0/5) Wheaton (0/5) Avant (1/5) Gibson (3/5) Thompkins (2/5)

TE Graham (5/5) J Thomas (3/5)

PK Forbath (0/5) Zuerlein (2/5) Crosby (3/5)

Def Detroit (2/5) Buffalo (0/5) Tennessee (3/5)

19 out of 27 used

Flex distribution: RB 2, WR 5, TE 3

Players lost for season: 2 TE (Ausberry and Allen)

QB: Tony Romo (2/5), Michael Vick (2/5), Matt Schaub (1/5)

RB: Marshawn Lynch (3/5), Reggie Bush (3/5), Stevan Ridley (0/5), Joique Bell (3/5), Christine Michael (0/5), Bilal Powell (2/5), LaGarrette Blount (0/5) Chris Polk (0/5)

WR: Demaryius Thomas (5/5), Reggie Wayne (3/5), Josh Gordon (2/5), Chris Givens (1/5), Nate Washington (2/5), Harry Douglas (0/5), Leonard Hankerson (1/5), Kenbrell Thompkins (2/5)

TE: Jared Cook (1/5), Antonio Gates, (4/5), Heath Miller (0/5), Julius Thomas (3/5)

K: Adam Vinatieri (1/5), Steve Hauschka (4/5)

D: NY Giants (0/5), Baltimore Ravens (5/5)

20 of 27 have had their points count - only real big surprise in that is Stevan Ridley, who I figured would be a nice RB3. Felt really good about QB, but it's starting to get thin. Harry Douglas should get a chance to contribute now. Handcuffed my top 2 RBs, seems like a good choice so far with the Bush/Bell situation. Jared Cook and the Giants D are looking like wastes of space, Gates has saved my butt. I chose Miller and Gordon to hopefully get production at a reduced cost. Chris Polk was just a cheap backup on a good offense. Scored over 200 x 3, low of 183.9. So far I've been happy, but each week is a fresh chance to bite it.

EDIT: plus I have Cumberland as my 4th TE, who is looking rather juicy now as well. :D

That last Thompkins TD makes it 167.1

Christ, I HATE the Patriots! (That's just a general observation - nothing to do with the subscriber contest).

That Thompkins TD at the end added 6 points to my total - might be crucial.

Witten - 10.8

I think I'll get through? Rough week though. I'm doomed on Luck's bye with EJ as my backup.

Sitting at 159 with...

Garcon (-8)

Hankerson (-8, or -10 depending on Garcon)

Romo (-21.5)

I think I'm looking at probably 175 or so. Hopefully that will be enough.

I'm interested to see how many Jimmy Graham owners bow out this week.
Hoping I'm not one of them.... of course going into Graham's bye next week too will also thin the herd.... I'm dead man walking with no QB in week 9 thanks to Vick exiting early.

my WR's are getting me massive scoring each week with Fitzgerald, Bryant, Gordon, and now Blackmon returning. I feel like there will be quite a few wasted efforts though and could use help at RB. So no trades, huh?

This thread is a train-wreck.

90% of the posts are people describing their individual rosters. Do we really care? It's Week 6 for crying out loud. IF there are 250 people left and you want to gloat a bit...so be it, but there are NINE THOUSAND teams remaining--your score of 200 means nothing this week.

Wouldn't this thread be much more useful to determine the approximate cutoff at certain times on Sundays? ...perhaps discussing strategies/statistics along the way?

Good point - the strategy and statistics you provided were quite useful.

I believe I am going to make it past this week. So, plan on a couple of more updates from me, in this thread, about my team. TIA DIA

No more posts for another few weeks people!

"90% of the posts are describing people describing their individual rosters..."

That's a statistic, is it not??

Seriously, though, why do people post their entire rosters?? If it's Week 16 and the money is on the line, sure...but we're 10 weeks away & 9000+ of us are still in the hunt. Your score of 275 doesn't impress me and the other guy's sad story of 140 doesn't affect me either.

There are good posts in here...Organized Chaos & Ignoracio Elenchi (and a few others) keep me checking in...but the "roster-recaps" are nauseating.
