Wondering how many Gronk owners got cut this week/are left in the contest?
Doing a little worse than than average

972 started, down to 509 - 52.4% survival,

compared to 62.5% overall

This week, Gronk owners fared relatively well, 79.4% survival v. 81.8% overall
Teams that paired him with Julius Thomas are at 75.5% remaining. Forget to pair him with Julius Thomas? Those teams are at 36.7% remaining.
Luckily, I did pair Gronk with JT and I added Heath Miller as well. For me, the longer Gronk is out, the better. Especially if JT gets shut down offensively for a week or two. (Provided Miller comes through as expected)

Team 104243 still alive and kicking.I'm pullin for em
That team has 18 kickers and scored 10 points more than I did this week. That's depressing.

No Adrian Peterson. No Calvin Johnson. Rough week but I made the cut. Thank heavens for Orange Julius, Knowshon Moreno, and WTF Mason Crosby!?!?

WRs combined for 12.1 points and my kicker scores 21. What a game.

Survived another week...

Here's to hoping Vick's injury is only for 1 week, otherwise I'm probably not going to make it past week 7 with Brees on BYE

This entry is still aliveWaste of $ - Redman, Ausberry

Not yet used - Crabtree

Every other player has been used at least once. Most weeks 3 TEs score for me (Graham, Olsen, JT)

Graham has counted every week

Woodhead and JT have scored 4/5 weeks

McCluster and Gano 1/5

Everyone else 2 or 3 times each.

Used every week:

DeMarco Murray

Demaryius Thomas

Antonio Gates

Not used:

Isaac Redman

Justin Forsett

Marcedes Lewis

Ben Watson

New Orleans D

(no one expensive, fortunately)

Rivers was a good choice as my top QB, but the Vick/Ponder duo better come up with at least one score in week 8.

Getting Rice back at full strength helps a lot; RBs will still be sketchy until Vereen comes back (and maybe even then).

Go Keenan Allen!

Averaging just over 200 so far, and a low score of 181 -- so nice and consistent too. And only Dwayne Allen is dead so far.

Used $287 worth of my players so far.

Flex:

0 RB

5 WR

5 TE

Tied for 3607th this week. Only have Gibson out this week (who seems like the best 0-start ever - he's been double digits 4 out of 5 weeks this year but hasn't cracked my lineup).

I WANT MY JULIUS THOMAS!

[/betterOffDead]
God I suck at this.
Week 3: Made the first real cut in ~8350th place. Dollars spent per point:

(snip - detailed week 3 breakdown)
Week 4: With my RBs, thought I was dead, but ended up with my highest score in 4 weeks and alive in ~7770th place. Dollars spent per point:

(snip - detailed week 4 breakdown)
Week 5: Made the cut by about 20, but really thanks to:

- Jacquizz Rodgers scoring 7 points more than his previous high.

- Jason Witten cracking 28, his second highest score (by 14+ pts) since week 1.

- Russell Wilson's 100+ yds rushing to finally get on my scoresheet.

- Rod Streater finally cracking double-digits.

Of my 6 RBs, four put up zeroes this week, due to bye, injury or Christine Michael.

At WR, Welker remains the PPR+TD rock while Hartline resumes his scoring contribution and Streater replaces McCluster as the surprise this week.

At TE, Celek contributed as Flex for the 1st time since week 1.

At PK, Crosby's 5 FGS, many quite long, put up a nice 21 spot with Hauschka right behind at 18.5pts. Good week for my PKs.

At D/ST, Saints with their _stellar_ 5 points continue to be the only scorer out of my 3 defenses in this contest.

220 and liking everything about this roster except only having Bradford and Manual at qb. Praying manual gets back in 4 or 5 weeks before The rams bye or I'm hosed ( if I'm still alive by then)

With EJ injured, looks like I'll probably be going home week 9 at the latest with Luck and my only good running back, Forte, both with byes. It's a shame, because my team looks pretty solid so far.

I handcuffed RGIII and Cousins with Locker as my extra QB. Hoping to survive this week.

Also, didn't buy the Julius Tgnomas hype this year and went Graham/Gronk/Cumberland at TE. I have a feeling I'll be lamenting that one.

But generally speaking, when Cameron and Thomas have their down games (and I think they will), some guys feeling like geniuses now are going to be eliminated. It's a long season, and the trick really is just making the cut for now, I think.
Survived without a QB! Whew! Thanks Alshon, Blackmon, Graham and even Cumberland!

Now I am happy to have RGIII/Cousins past their bye, and the Graham/Gronk show can hopefully start soon!

199.45 and on to another week!

Jeff Cumberland missed scoring for the first time all season by .2 points (18.4 vs 18.6 of Josh Gordon).

Dez, Julius, DeSean, and others helped me avoid yet another horrid week by my RB crew. And it ain't getting any better rolling with Lacy, Ridley, Matthews, Daryl Richardson, and Daniel Thomas...

not sure where to place the fork, but its poking me, almost pierced skin! 3.45 and 2.0, that is what ive made it by the last 2 weeks. ugh, writing on the wall, unless Gronk and Calvin start supporting Jimmy and Julius.

502 teams are for all intents and purposes, out of this thing
As a Julio owner, it looks grim. Although I am still pretty pleased with my remaining WRs:

Demaryius Thomas

DeSean Jackson

Michael Floyd

Darrius Heyward-Bey

Kenbrell Thompkins

Oh, don't worry, Bradford will put up one or two zero or negative performances before then.

Looks like investing heavily in TE's has helped me. Every week except 1 both my flex spots came out of my TEs.

Witten

Gates

Gresham

Julius

I think the 1.5 ppr is huge

QB: Kaepernick (2/5) Vick (3/5)

RB: Spiller (2/5) Bush (2/5) Lacy (1/5) Woodhead (4/5) Powell (2/5)

WR: D. Thomas (5/5) A. Johnson (4/5) Bowe (3/5) Austin (0/5) Thompkins (2/5)

TE: Witten (4/5) V. Davis (2/5) J. Thomas (4/5)

K: Hauschka (4/5) Forbath (0/5) J. Brown (1/5)

DEF: Arizona (2/5) Tennessee (2/5) Buffalo (1/5)

Flex:

1 RB

4 WR

5 TE

Every week it seems there's a different area I'm most pessimistic about. Currently it's the QB situation. My cheaper RBs saved me from the dreaded week 3 elimination. Still destined for my traditional mid-season departure.

Some stats:

2 week average and 2 wk SD is the average (and stan. deviation) combined 2 week score for each team over past 3 weeks. Max 2 Week score is the highest combined 2 week average. So the average 18 man team can expect to score 364.5 points over 2 weeks (st. dev of 28.61) , with the highest 18 man team scoring 472.43 pts.

No coincidence, imo, that it's also the first major bye week and many of the "studs" didn't perform well. Looking at 2 week averages show that any random "larger" team should be able to beat any random "smaller" team. But the Max 2 week data suggests that while the former may be true, it's more likely that one specific mid to smaller team would beat out every other team. This seems to lend credence to the theory that smaller rosters have a bit of an advantage in stage 2 of this contest.

Still on cruise control putting up 230 this week with an eye on the week 9 byes. I am holding out hope that MJD, my biggest waste of money so far can get traded soon.

How many teams have Julio? Can someone post the link of the tool that showed percentages of players selected across the entire contest? Thanks.

Teams with Jordan Cameron, Julius Thomas and Jimmy Graham: 114

Survival rate for teams with these plans: 100.00 percent

:pickle:

Let's see how many of the 502 Julio owners survive over the next couple weeks - through Atlanta's bye and Week 7. Would guess at least 40% won't make it to Week 8. Tough blow.

I went Cameron/Thomas/Gronk. 34/39 survival rate for this strategy, and I expect that rate to stay pretty high.

Taking J. Cook instead of Cameron is one of the few moves I regret at this point. (Graham, Cook, Ausberry, J. Thomas)

as a Vick owner (part of a three headed QB), I am very concerned about my team going forward... also my QBs and RBs suck, too

I think it depends on who else they selected at wr and how many they selected.I mean I have Roddy White that I selected to be my #1 wr and he has contributed 0 times.I'm still in it but must admit its was pretty close this week.I think you can make it to the final 250 with one of your main players eliminated its just once you get there you probably will be a bottom feeder.

Life after Julio....

Andre, Decker, Kend r ell, avery, washington.

Got enough depth to make the playoffs but no pop without julio.

Best wishes julio.

I have Vick as well, but only a 2 headed QB monster :( . All up to Romo now, and just hoping Vick can return before Romos bye in week 11. Knew I should have grabbed a 3rd cheap QB.

Julio out is going to really hurt my team....only have Bryant, A. Brown, Amendola, and Thomkins left.

With my RBs looking as bad as they do, my days are numbered....Wilson, C. Johnson, Bernard, Helu, and J. Bell.

QB: Kaepernick (1/5) Vick (2/5), Cutler (2/5)

RB: Spiller (3/5) Bush (4/5) Lacy (1/5), Richardson (3/5)

WR: Bryant (4/5), Jeffrey (4/5), E Sanders (2/5), Tate (2/5), Thompkins (2/5), Blackmon (1/1)

TE: J. Thomas (5/5), Gresham (2/5), Cook (2/5)

K: Hauschka (3/5), Gould (2/5), Tynes (oops)
DEF: Arizona (2/5), Baltimore (2/5), Washington (2/5)

Flex:

1 RB

5 WR

4 TE

I have these three! Best choice I made with my team!

Most probably were prepared for the bye week with other receivers. The damage won't start to set in until their other WRs' bye weeks. For example, someone with Julio and D. Thomas may be OK until Week 9 when they don't have the coverage for Denver's bye week they thought they'd have.
