2022 FFA Mid Year Song Draft - Sign-up and Round 1 today (1 Viewer)

This is a Canadian "supergroup" featuring Sam Roberts and the lead singers from Tokyo Police Club, Sloan and Hollerado.

I'm seeing Sam Roberts with his regular band tonight. I really like this song, big Canadian radio hit.

2.NV - Reckless Reckless - Anyway Gang

I totally missed that they released a new album this year. Huge miss by me. I take it this is another strong effort from them?
I only knew a few songs of theirs before listening to this album. I liked this one so much I went back and listened to the older ones. I like this one the best.

That is exciting and quite high praise. I don't think they have missed yet.

20 songs too. All of quality. Some of the songs have more of a Bluegrass sound (perhaps that’s not the right term) but it all works for me.

Yo Mama’s afternoon pick:

3.YM - The Top Chefs - De La Soul

Pretty sure this is an homage to Parma Lakshmi

I keep waiting for their old stuff to hit Spotify.

3. Time Escaping - Big Thief

Another one off this album for the list.  I don't actually find any song on this album to be amazing, but it has a lot of really good songs and very consistent, so I want to pick one...

Rd 1: Pusha T - Rock N Roll

Thanks for the @!

Only 2 songs picked so far are on my 2022 playlist so as usual there’ll be tons of great new-to-me stuff that I’ll be hearing thanks to you all.

Wow. Had to scratch 5 or 6 songs off my short list today. This is going to be a great playlist.

He was great. Huge crowd, I'll guess in the 7-9k range. Free concert but still great turnout for a Wednesday night. There's one pub on the concert grounds and I got our beer in there last week so we hung out there for the show.

Missed both last week shows: The Spoons and Gowan. It's all very Canada...

4. Rex Orange County - KEEP IT UP

I guess I'm blessed
I never give myself respect
Most my life, I'm asking why
But anytime I give it a try, I say

Keep it up and go on
You're only holding out for what you want
You no longer owe the strangers
It's enough, it's enough
