It was a tremendous raid. (2 Viewers)

I can't believe anyone would believe Trump over anyone. If Bernie Madoff and Donald Trump each were selling a used car, I would buy the car of Madoff everytime.

I can't believe you believe the Fed Govt - they've lied and thieved for hundreds of years, Trump has only been at it a few decades

And here is your proof he has been trolling page after page and thread after thread.

He will defend and believe Trump because he has only been a lying conman for a few decades. JFC.
Trump is the greatest con man of all time. When you consider the stakes. Not even close. He has people completely brainwashed.
He truly is. He is the GOAT of grifters for sure. He's got people turning their backs on their own children and siblings, divorcing their spouses, suiciding by cop. And like Margie says at the end of Fargo...all for a little money. It's truly grotesque. It's so sad.

I think it’s a great idea if I’m advising Trump. Kick off his campaign by showing heavily edited clips of the “raid” that make it look like the cops descending on the Griswold Household circa Christmas Eve 1989.

They will swallow that hook whole.
They can just replay the raid scene from Casino.

Independent Counsel only after it’s found out who they’ve voted for the past 20yrs (state and local and better be all gop or instant disqualification), where they’ve lived (better not be Cali or NY), who their friends voted for and what they had for dinner the past 2 months. After all that lines up maybe the conclusion they draw will be believed IF it coincides with preconceived personal bias and access to all classified documents in question be given. Sound about right?

can we agree just to allow Trump voting Republican's to do the review? why not ?
So not an independent counsel?

Trump considering releasing surveillance footage of FBI Mar-a-Lago search

Some allies of former President Donald Trump are urging him to publicly release surveillance footage of FBI agents executing a search warrant on his Mar-a-Lago residence, a proposal that has drawn mixed reaction inside his orbit, CNN has learned.
The CCTV footage has been so closely held that aides to the former President aren't sure if he has seen it in full himself, said a person close to Trump.
"I don't think it's been shared by anyone outside of the attorneys," this person said.
Yet when asked earlier this week by Fox's Sean Hannity whether the footage would be released, Trump's son Eric said, "Absolutely Sean, at the right time. "

Some of Trump's aides and allies have encouraged the former President to make some of the footage available to the public, believing it could send a jolt of energy through the Republican Party's base. One person familiar with the conversations said there have been discussions about featuring the August footage in campaign-style ads, believing the footage could bolster Trump's claims of political persecution.
Another person close to Trump said it's not a matter of if the former President and his team release any of the footage, but when, noting it could be released before he makes a campaign announcement.

Others in Trump's orbit have warned of the potential risks to the former President if he does release the tapes. A second person close to Trump cautioned that releasing the footage could backfire by providing people with a visual understanding of the sheer volume of materials that federal agents seized from his oceanfront residence, :ROFLMAO:including classified materials.

He could just release a clip of that movie and some would believe it.

He'll release the footage when he releases his tax returns and healthcare plan.

This will be about like when he released the Zelenskyy "perfect" phone call transcripts. His fans won't even watch it, but will tell us how badly he was treated. Meanwhile, sane people will clearly see boxes and boxes of documents he had no legal right to possess being carted out.

No way this ends well.

The former president’s current legal team includes a Florida insurance lawyer who’s never had a federal case, a past general counsel for parking garage company, and a former host at far-right One America News.

Former president Donald Trump and close aides have spent the eight days since the FBI searched his Florida home rushing to assemble a team of respected defense lawyers. But the answer they keep hearing is “no.”
lawyers turning down a ex-presidents business really tells you all you need to know.
I hear that ”very serious“ lawyer Sydney Powell is available.
Unfortunately, she's busy defending against the Texas State Bar Association's lawsuit for professional misconduct that may result in her disbarment.
I think we may have a shortage of ethical lawyers.
nah, there are just a heavy concentration of unethical lawyers around Trump. Wonder why?

Trump has lost Alex Jones. He announces today he is off the Trump train: “I am supporting Desantis .. I can look into his eyes on HD video, and I see the real sincerity.”
Jones made tens of millions lying about murdered children. His minions then harassed the parents of those children non-stop for years. One of Trump's closest advisors. Now Jones is potentially facing jail time. He might need a pardon.

Jones did this. Trump steals money from a charity for kids with cancer. Yet people support them. Truly awful people. Yet people continue their unwavering support. I don't get it.

For the average U.S. citizen, even if each and every one of those agents arrived at your house presenting a cookie and a glass of milk as they entered, I'd say it's a safe bet to say that after watching footage of that many people rifling through every inch of your home for 9 hours...even if they dusted as they went along...would leave most people with a firm opinion on the proceedings.

For many people, its not about talking as if the great unwashed public would swallow a hook whole. It is about a lot of people wanting to know, in short order and plain talk, what happened, why it happened, and why it was necessary to go these extremes (was it warranted and, if so, why).

is about a lot of people wanting to know, in short order and plain talk, what happened, why it happened, and why it was necessary to go these extremes (was it warranted and, if so, why)
We should point America to this thread then because it has been explained in simple and plain language about every ten pages.
Really? I didn't know we had so many DOJ/FBI employees and experts in the thread. I will need to review. The reality is the history surrounding Donald Trump for SEVEN years now has been one "story" after another and not one, not one has ended with a solid majority of people agreeing that all the info was produced and a solid consensus produced; not because of party biases but because of a clear lack of supporting evidence from one side or the other.

If any (just one) of these multiple stories that have been discussed non-stop for nearly a decade were just presented, laid out, supported by fact, people could accept it; even if they didn't like what they learned. They would accept it for what it is. But it never happens. It is always a situation where something just seems "off" about the story and every single time, it unravels.

It is clear that some people will think its clear and the other is patient enough to wait for the holes in the story to surface as it always does.

Just one? What is your take on Trump using charitable funds for unlawful purposes (to buy things for himself, pay off business debts and to support his campaign)?

DeSantis is a lot of things including pragmatic and politically savy. One thing he is NOT is sincere and he has a really hard time hiding it. I'm shocked such a skilled analyzer of behavior can't see that.

So not an independent counsel?

my point was, the left wouldn't accept that as independent, and I won't accept a bunch of Democrats for the same reasons (to tell us all the truth of this)

Trump again has pushed and reiterated he want's everything released and open, DOJ is fighting to keep it all secret ..... doesn't that bother the people who think Trump is guilty ?

It is ludicrous to suggest law enforcement will release this information during an active investigation. Trump knows full well that it is not going to happen which is why he is open to release it and then claim "see, they're hiding something".

It's all going to come out, people just need to give it time and stop the knee-jerk reactions.

As far as presuming Trump guilty it does appear that he was in possession of classified documents that he shouldn't have but again we don't know that for sure. Everyone needs to let the jusdicial process work.

As you know, not just any charity, but it was for children suffering from cancer. Then mocking McCain, POWs, and disabled people. His belief white supremacists are good people and cheating on his wife with a porn star. How these actions alone weren't enough to make 99% of America despise him is disheartening. Then consider it isn't even close to the worst things he's done.

Remember in 2016 when a video surfaced where Trump bragged about committing a series of sexual assaults and how he did them? The guy Trump bragged to ended up losing his job because he stood there and laughed instead of calling Trump out for bragging about committing a series of sexual assaults. Republicans saw the tape and voted for Trump to be President of the United States. Twice. Probably three times by 2024.

The Payback for Mar-a-Lago Will Be Brutal

What went around Monday will come around hard for the Democrats when Republicans control the Justice Department and FBI.

Trump derangement syndrome has a curious way of scrambling coherent thought. Witness the Democratic-media complex’s blind insistence the Justice Department raid on Donald Trump’s home is just and necessary—rather than a dangerous move for their party and the republic.
In descending on Mar-a-Lago, the department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation shifted the U.S. into the category of countries whose ruling parties use government power to investigate political rivals. No attorney general has ever signed off on a raid on a former president’s home, in what could be the groundwork for criminal charges.
Perfect example of why Trump-supporting Republicans are unfit to hold office. "You want to actually enforce laws? Well, get ready, because we're above the law and we'll prove it to you."

His hold over his people is really bewildering.

Like he's a horrible guy who's been a horrible guy his entire life, yet his sycophants ignore it all to "own the libs." And many of them religious too...bewildering.

Which bunch of Democrats? Chistopher Wray? A federal judge? The agents?
How about the January 6th Committee? Liz Cheney? The witnesses like Barr and so on (pretty much every witness were Republicans)?

Which bunch of Democrats are you referring to in any of this?

What I don’t understand through all this is why Trump insisted on keeping these documents. It just makes no sense at all.
Leverage.

And proof that he played pretend president for 4 years when all he really did was tweet and watch cable news to see what they were saying about him and.

I would say to eventually monetize it...display stuff to brag how much he did in some sort of library or whatever.
And depending on what some of it was...to think he kept it from other people (like say, the January 6th committee).

You won't accept a bunch of Democrats and you won't accept any Republicans who eventually say anything bad about Trump because they are RINOs. Former Republican Presidents, Vice-presidents, Presidential candidates, Senators, and Congressmen are all somehow RINOs. Only the guy who switched parties so he could run for emperor and those who support him 100% of the time are "true" Republicans.

As for releasing "everything", of course he does. Someone told the FBI he was lying about keeping documents. Don Corleone Trump needs to know who it was so he knows who to have his minions attack.

when did this happen in this country, where we aren't judged by our actions and deeds, but by our political affiliations?

I REALLY hate it when the news says a judge was appointed by _________. It's not supposed to matter. Judges are supposed to be non-partisan. LEO are supposed to be non-partisan.

You do I think , and that's the difference here (and anyone not liking Trump is quick to jump on this train as well, understandably so)

political headhunting has always happened .. its a nasty business and now, media is weaponized to sway public opinion. Nobody in DC is innocent

but they are - that's the way its become

Biden was going to select ONLY a woman and ONLY an African American to Supreme Court .... nobody else was going to be considered. Do you think he was going to pick conservative? No, and the calls to increase the SC numbers so Biden could nominate more liberal judges to stack the court were pretty loud, some still support it. All in the name of passing liberal agenda

How about address what I posted and the questions. You are asserting its all democrats...Im asking which democrats are you talking about involved with this. From the director of the FBI, to the agents, to the judge. I mean you have Garland and what else?

I do trust the overall system which includes our judicial system and federal agents. Especially if I am comparing that to Donald Truump.

Im asking you to back up your statements that I replied to or expand on them...which democrats...you made the assertion...please answer the questions.

I tend to believe this is politically motivated and Democrats are deeply behind it, they're scared to death of Trump in 2024. Lets see how it all shakes out. Who is behind it? We might never know, we might know next week. time will tell.

If I'm wrong, I'll gladly admit it. Trump will go down, Desantis runs and wins and we're all better off for it.

But if I'm not wrong, remember this thread and how easily people believed what they were told.

A lot of people are cowards, and love following a bully.
With Trump specifically, there’s also a piece where the rules not applying to him is part of his appeal. There’s a strain of American conservatism, especially among working class straight white males, who want rules to apply to everyone else but not to them. Trump is the ideal of this. The first time they voted for Trump for President, putting Hillary Clinton in jail for mishandling classified materials was a central message of that campaign. It was big victory when Congress passed a law upping the stakes and penalties for doing such a thing, and Trump bragged about it when he signed it into law.
Now that Trump is under investigation for mishandling classified materials and the available evidence is overwhelming pointing towards his guilt, Republicans are not only saying Trump shouldn’t be prosecuted for breaking a law with escalated penalties that he himself signed into law, they are using the investigation itself as an excuse to vote for Trump again.

I've not seen anybody say that ... like, nobody

Skeptical of what was taken from mar a lago absolutely, don't trust the DOJ and Govt and suspect political agenda yessir .. I've not seen anyone say Trump shouldn't be held accountable IF he did illegal things that he's being accused of

I don't know why he did it and don't particularly care, but one plausible theory I heard was that the fact he brought in Kash Patel to help with the process indicates he might have had a particular interest in documents relating to the Russia investigation

Just curious about your thoughts about why dems are scared of Trump (outside of him trying to steal an election and turn his followers to try to prevent the peaceful transition of power that is). He barely won in 2016 helped greatly by the Comey announcement, Hillary's horrible appeal, and 3rd party candidates. The House election was a landslide against Trump 2 years later. The Senate gained like two seats when they should have gained more due to the overwhelming number of dems up for reelection. He got curbstomped in 2020 and single handedly lost the Senate in Georgia.

Do you think after all that's happened that MORE people support Trump now? Or are you betting that we'll still have 9% inflation in 2 years and be in a recession? Because that's the only way Trump has a chance, if the economy is completely in the crapper, which it won't be. History tells us this.

Agreed. I don't know why Dems would be "terrified" of Trump. That's a right-wing narrative to help fuel the message that the left is out to get him. He lost the popular vote both times, lost the White House, the Senate, and the House. His major accomplishments were appointing conservative judges that were teed up for him by the Federalist Society.

He managed to turn GA and AZ blue. That's something I guess.

So again…which democrats are behind it? The FBI director? Agents? The judge?
All lying? All democrats?
