I really don't care about past drafts and those stats because it has nothing to do with this situation. The stats are meaningless because they don't account for the players and the teams situation. They don't account for talent either. A 4 letter word comes to mind:
S T U D
Peterson is a stud...
Why is that crazy? AP has supreme talent and it's just a matter of time before he takes over...and once the Vikings see him play, the time will not be long. I don't know one person who would draft Taylor ahead of AP. I know I sure wouldn't.
Carr was brought in to be a backup this season, and also to put some pressure on Delhomme, because he did not play well last year. I think Delhomme is fairly secure, but nowhere near as much as he has been in past years. I also think Carr will have a chance to compete next year unless Delhomme...
I'm in the skeptical corner on Wilhelm long term, mainly because I think Cooper is better, and also am really high on Anthony Waters. I don't think he comes anywhere close to the numbers Donnie Edwards usually put up. I'm not convinced he stays at WILB. Just my gut feelings. He is a player that...
Good info, thanks. The Bengals defense sure would be a lot better if they have the 2005 Thurman on the field. I think early on it will be tough since he missed an entire season. But I can't imagine Hartwell or any of their other LB's keeping Thurman off the field assuming he is in game shape...
Redding is franchised, and they are working on a long term deal. I personally think they get something done, but the locals say its slightly better than 50-50 (no link). He should be dominant playing the under tackle position in the lions cover 2, next to Shaun Rogers.
Link to Redding story...
This should be interesting. I have to think if Thurman gets a real chance to play that his talent will get on the field. The question is where will he play. Is he capable of playing at WLB at all?
What do the Bengal homers think will happen assuming Thurman has a chance to compete for a...
Long term, I believe if White doesn't take hold of the job, Tennessee goes after a long term starter next year. Brown is a one year player in my opinion, and I just don't see Henry doing much.
For the most part, I agree with this. The one exception is when I play a division rival during a bye week, in which case I will be more flexible, but only within a tier. I think division games are important and don't like to take too big of a hit during those weeks, if possible...but only to a...
