Hi, Couldn't find a place to put this topic so mods please move to where you think is appropriate.
Setting up my first pirate league and not sure on the best way. For those who don't know how it works, if you win you steal any player off the losers roster.
So my thoughts on setting it up:
*...
For me it's finding guys who are behind injury prone RB's who can be an RB1 or maybe RB2.
So who do I feel are the injury risk guys?
DeMarco Murray, Jamal Charles, DMC, Chris Ivory, Forte, Gore, Reggie Bush, Ryan Mathews, Foster.
Then from there weighing the quality of the backup, and if they...
Sounds about right. If the google is working for me the chargers have had the 2nd most redzone opportunities in the NFL this year. Mathews is going to help open up the passing game and allow them to do more on the ground, so even against a tough ATL D I think we'll have to expect what Denver did...
And why do you think this? Sounds like everyone has been saying this exact phrase for a year now and just your standard optimistic speech. We got burned on a first round pick. It sucks but what can you do.
Took Kevin Smith in the 7th, 12 team PPR for my Flex spot. I would have rather taken Meachem.
Oh, and the 6th I took DeSean Jackson as my WR2 and passed on D. Thomas and Reggie Wayne. I'd like that pick back too.
Don't love it.I like CJ, and lynch in the 3rd is good value. RB3-5 has a lot to be desired. > 1.06 - Chris Johnson - With the top 4RBs off the board and Megatron off the board this was the safe pick. Not overly excited about Johnson but should be relatively bust free. (knock on wood)Aside...
12 Team PPR TE heavy:
Drafted Pettigrew in the 5th when I didn't have a WR2 and could have snagged Tony G, Turner, Maclin, Stevie Johnson, or Antonio Brown, all who I like much better.
Passed on Quizz Rodgers for M. Bush in the 9th.
I believe Tate is too low. Houston drafted him to be their guy and Foster won't get what he wants/deserves with Tate in the backfield. I bet Houston keeps Tate and not Foster.
That's how I view it. If you need upside and Smith plays, then start him. If you predict your game to be close and can't afford the gamble, then start someone more consistent.
Right-on sir. I'm going to factor him in for 5pts in non-ppr each week. Thus, there is no way I'm starting this guy unless I need huge upside in a given week.
