McFadden is the best college RB ive seen that projects to the NFL, since McGahee pre injury. He is a punisher who still is 20 lbs + of weight to fill out his frame. Just a scary, scary prospect.
Has to be AFC wildcard at Pitt in 2001 when he recovered a blocked punt and pitched it to a teammate who ran it to the house. Insane play. Or catching the bomb in OT to beat Miami. What a class act.
Vick being the "face of the franchise" isnt going to play any factor in Petrino's decision. Blank gace Petrino carte blanche and he will use it. Bye Bye Vick. If he wants to salvage his career he should walk into Petrinos office and offer to play a Reggie Bush role.
Fantastic hire. I have watched many Louisville games in the Petrino era and i feel he is/was the best playcaller in the college game. Additionally, he is one of the few college coaches to actually run a pro style offense. I also have a feeling that he will use Vick at RB/WR and put Shaub at QB.
Larry Johnson is not a system back. He is a patient, strong, durable, and punishing runner. The difference between him and Priest is magnified in the win loss column, not the stats. He is tailor made for the NFL game, where he can singlehandedly wear down and punish the defense and milk clock...
I saw a couple of Maryland games and Davis didnt stand out whatsoever, not like Pope, Winslow, Lewis, or King from VT. Now, could it be that Maryland runs a high school type offense? Maybe, but if you think Davis was some big play maker in college its just not the case. I'd be cautious.
The Raiders have some great offensive talent, but Moss didnt help the team one bit, and the defensive personnel is just below average anyway you cut it.
Fact- This draft, as well as next years, will be much deeper than the last few. There will be players taken in the 3rd round that you could easliy see as 1st rounders....its short on QB's but deep at everything else.
Man, what a terrible hire. Haslett had an abundance of talent in NO; that wasnt an issue, and he never did anything with it other than stage late seaosn rallies after they were eliminated fomr playoff contention....i just cant believe Haslett is mentioned for vacancies...
Peyton doesnt trust his teammates. Here are Edge's stats in the 13 wins he played in: 25.7 carries a gameIn the two losses to Pit and SD: 13 carries. Manning uses the run, which is the most effective part of the team, when things are going well, but he abandons it when things are tight. He calls...
Im not sure how many of you saw Eli play in college but i did a lot and here is my take: The scouts all remark about how he is Peytons brother and they will have a similar career, and i dont agree with that logic, its lazy. Eli isnt at all like Peyton. He is very laid back and not as focused as...
In the Pats system, Dillon is not going to be expected to carry the weight of the world here. The Pats offense is predicated on short rhythm passing. Kevin Faulk is a terrific 3rd down receiving back, and his role wont change much. Dillon will assume Ant Smiths role and get 20-25% more carries...
He is obviously having a difficult time carrying the 25 extra pounds he gained trying to impress scouts. So lets assume he plays at 6'0 200. In addition to being light for a RS, he plays lighter than that. Jones is soft, and can not run b/t the tackes. somebody will take a flyer on him if he...
Lets not sugarcoat what happened today: Kevin Jones is now going to be a huge question mark. For a back who is known for his speed, running a 4.65 is absolutely stunning. Also, if he weighed in at 227 at the combine then he was probably 20 lbs heavier than his playing weight. Kevin Jones does...
I think Lewis is one of the top team leaders in sports today. He brings so much charisma and work to a team its invaluable. He is a true team leader, and plays on a team that is deficient at key positions. That said, physically, Lewis is not as dominant as his 2000 Super Bowl campaign. His hype...
