Soon.Yes, he's important too, but his team stopped playing basketball several days ago. Green's team is competing for yet another championship.
It's always fun when you play a team that can't defend.it' was a pleasure to watch the old Big 3 realizing how much more fun it is with just them

+90 points in 237 minutes when he played and -109 points in 104 minutes when he was out. +0.38 points per minute with him on the floor and -1.05 points per minute with him on the bench.Joel Embiid +/- in the series against Toronto. I don't remember exact numbers, but it was something like +90 when he is in, and -102 when he is off the floor.
If they don't win next year and make no improvements, year 3 of LakerBJ is going to be brutal.stop me if i'm crazy but maybe the Lakers signing Lebron wasn't about winning championships but it was about attention and keeping the Lakers in the mouths of the media. something that hadn't really been happening the several seasons prior to Lebron's arrival.
it's wall to wall Lakers chat the entirety of 2018/2019 and for the foreseeable future it will remain that way.
Lebron as marketing/media buzz bridge to a winning future. sure, winning is great but if you're not really in a position to win right now but can make 85% of winning money by signing Lebron vs. 40% of winning money by not signing Lebron.... who says no?
brace yourself. it's probably going to happen. If they don't win next year and make no improvements, year 3 of LakerBJ is going to be brutal.
It's happening so just roll with it. I would like to see another team win as well but last year during the finals I just convinced myself that I should just enjoy their complete dominance over the last several years and embrace what I'm witnessing. It worked a little. Neither of these teams are beating the Warriors even if the Bucks do matchup well on paper.I can't stomach another Golden State championship.
I can if it’s going to get Drake to ####.Zero comments on the game last night?
I'll chime in. I'm now legitimately worried that the Bucks can't beat the Warriors. I thought they were the team to do it, but that debacle last night makes me think they aren't up to the task. Leonard is playing on half of a leg and they got blown out. What are they going to do vs. Curry/Thompson/Green and maybe Durant? Horrible effort from a team that should be up 3-1 by now. They better finish this thing off in 6. Toronto has about a 2% chance vs. the Warriors and I can't stomach another Golden State championship.

The Bucks have more like a 25% chance. I'd love to see them do it and will have something to root for. It's happening so just roll with it. Wholehearedly agree. I am not sure why seeing Drake stand right on the sideline line the entire game supremely annoyed me -- giving Nick Nurse little shoulder massages, hugging players coming on and off the bench, mouthing off at Middleton and Antetokounmpo even as they slashed through us in a losing effort, the whole "LOOK AT ME!" routine.I can if it’s going to get Drake to ####.
the Bucks should be up 3-1? I'd say Toronto should be up 3-1. They blew it in game one late.Zero comments on the game last night?

depends on what they prioritize. will be interesting to see what the new ownership group does.Would Portland be better off trading Lillard instead of supermaxing him?
Article is about him getting super max with two years still remaining. Given his sure to be high trade value with two years currently left, would the Blazers actually be better off trying to get a trade package for him? I can't imagine that contract is going to age well six years from now.
I don't watch much NBA. I watched the second half last night. I was at the Drake stuff. Does he do that every game? Isn't there a rule about that? Would love to see a pass "accidentally" go through someone's hands and hit him in the face.Wholehearedly agree. It's also wonderful to have Reggie Miller do these games so we can hear Spike Lee comparisons EVERY SINGLE GAME.Wholehearedly agree. It won't, but he's the super star this city has always wanted and needed and it would revolt if the Blazers traded him. We're just a silly little town that embraces the people who embrace us back.Would Portland be better off trading Lillard instead of supermaxing him?

What new ownership group? Jody Allen has expressed her desire to keep the team.depends on what they prioritize. will be interesting to see what the new ownership group does.

I guess I thought that they were more likely to be sold. This is from 3 months ago, so I am certainly not up on it and I'm not even sure if this is reliable, but that was my impression: https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/2019/02/canzano-trail-blazers-likely-to-be-sold-creating-some-angst-at-city-hall.htmlWhat new ownership group? If I may offer a counterpoint to your argument: the Raptors swept the Warriors in the regular season, including a blowout win in Golden State without Kawhi and with the Warriors at full strength, and only finished 2 games behind the Bucks. But you expect them to get swept. Why are you being a jerk about it?
Considering they statistically were the better team all season, have the likely MVP, split the season series and were blasting through the playoffs, yes.
Not exactly a ridiculous assertion.

I have no idea how basketball-reference is calculating this, but they actually have Milwaukee with the best odds to win the finals: https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/playoffs.html?utm_source=Stathead&utm_campaign=5f5c78bb8d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_05_22_01_22&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d63d7393a0-5f5c78bb8d-449640845stopped reading at the bold. Yeah, that's a stale article and the gas bag who wrote it has never gotten along with the Allen family. He has no clue at all what they will do. Jody Allen (who is/was far creepier than her creepy brother) and Vulcan have no immediate plans to sell the Blazers or the Seahawks. Both will be sold at some point, but she was partying like a rock star with the Blazers after they beat OKC despite not attending a game in the regular season. She also was present for the Seahawks draft and was geeking out like a fan the entire time. I think she might hold for the time being.I guess I thought that they were more likely to be sold. Either way, Paul Allen never had any problem spending, but there's no telling what Jody, her advisors, other people in management or a new ownership group will prioritize.
That's terrible. The betting markets are the only source people should use for calculating win probabilities.I have no idea how basketball-reference is calculating this, but they actually have Milwaukee with the best odds to win the finals: https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/playoffs.html?utm_source=Stathead&utm_campaign=5f5c78bb8d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_05_22_01_22&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_d63d7393a0-5f5c78bb8d-449640845
Milwaukee Bucks - 44.5%
Golden State Warriors - 39.9%
Toronto Raptors - 15.6%
Doesn't make much sense to me even simply on the premise that GSW is already in the finals and Milwaukee is still 2-2, but there are certainly things about the stats and matchups that say that this will be no cakewalk for GSW, even if healthy.
Statistically the better team, but were never close to being the favorites to win the finals? Why are you being a jerk about it?

How does the NBA and refs allow that clown to roam the side line like that? If he was some random fan he'd be escorted out of the building. Drake is the type of clown that would piss off the wrong player where we get another Malace at the Palace type thing which the nBA I'm sure wants to prevent. If I was an opposing player I'd be asking my team to ask the NBA to review Drakes behavior and either fine Toronto for not properly handling it as well as possible ban from NBA events for Drake. Dude is a clown, zero talent and he's more known today for being a bandwagon jinks then real sports fan. This dude didn't give a #### about the Raptors until a few yrs ago. I was in Toronto awhile back and was asking random people if they were raptor fans and then how big of a fan and what they thought of Drake? Most think he's just trying to get attention, terrible rep for the city or blaming him for jinxing the team. NBA needs to get their #### together on this. Giannis Rep actually went after Drake on Twitter btw.I can if it’s going to get Drake to ####.
man I wish Vegas would just follow suit with this. yeah, I agree here. Give me that 2nd All-D team in a playoff series/games that matter any day of the weekAll-Defensive First Team
Gobert, George, Giannis, Smart, Bledsoe
All-Defense Second Team
Jrue Holiday, Klay, Embiid, Draymond, Kawhi
seriously
I'm with you here I'm always for sitting guys for being idiots out there or heck even missing practices late for them or games. Guess what Your ### is on the bench for the game. I don't care if you're Lebron. Not my fault we lose now be an adult take responsibility for yourself and apologize to the fans, team and city publicly. So sick and tired of these guys being treated like babies. I would've ended Embiid's #### with his too much of social media and unhealthy eating habits like 3 seasons ago. You're in rehab as a top pick. Cut the clown #### since you haven't won #### yet and get your ### in the rehab room. Next time I see you ordering this crap food you are ordering double and then running Laps directly after that and you aren't stopping if you lose your milk and cookies. I don't like my coach? Lebron really? too bad be an adult and work it out with him. If you both can't you're the one in trouble not him.I know i'm an ol' poop, but i miss coaches sittin' guys.
Eric Bledsoe's one of the game's best at driving the lane, one of the worst shooters beyond the arc. Where does he shoot from most of the time? Gotta be sitting guys that stoopit for doin' stoopit til they stop doing stoopit or just stay sitting. Even a Tim Frazier doing what he's supposed to is better than Bledsoe chukkin. Simple AF.
And i think that kind of thing bleeds down to the Bucks' flow. A good coach does what he can to get all the maybes off to a good start. You run plays early for Lope, 'Tic, Brog to get their shot, no matter HOW talented your focal point is because getting the other guys off reduces how much the other D helps on your superstar and puts the pressure on their D instead of your O. Simple, and i know some switching interferes with that, but i also know every team in the final 8 has been severely play-deficient, often in places where that could really be the difference.
That's pretty close to what Fivethirtyeight has. That's terrible. The betting markets are the only source people should use for calculating win probabilities.
currently GSW 64.9% MIL 26.6% TOR 8.4%
I find it intriguing that people seem to give the Bucks so much credit for “blasting through” the first two rounds when it’s been pretty clear (to me anyway) that any of the Warriors, Rockets, Bucks, Raptors, or Sixers would have easily dispatched the Celtics and Pistons.man I wish Vegas would just follow suit with this. Money would pour in on GSW, and rightfully so

I think most people are giving Bucks credit based on them having the best record in the NBA and not necessarily how easy their first couple playoff matchups went. I do agree with your second statement.I find it intriguing that people seem to give the Bucks so much credit for “blasting through” the first two rounds when it’s been pretty clear (to me anyway) that any of the Warriors, Rockets, Bucks, Raptors, or Sixers would have easily dispatched the Celtics and Pistons.
ETA: I do think the Bucks are the second best team in the league. I just think the gap between the Warriors and the Bucks is far greater than the Bucks and the rest of the field.
This is my beef. You want to talk smack and jeer the opponents, great be my guest. Plenty of fans do that. However he shouldn't get to roam the sideline and walk out onto the court. Idk if Toronto is actually paying him for his "global ambassador" gig, but regardless, it's clear they have fully embraced him as an extension of their staff. If that's what the franchise is okay with (and it seems they are), I think that should be within their jurisdiction on what he's allowed to do and not the league's, so long as he isn't getting into physical altercations with players. This is my beef. You want to talk smack and jeer the opponents, great be my guest. Plenty of fans do that. However he shouldn't get to roam the sideline and walk out onto the court. That's where the line should be drawn.
538 is ok, but they throw out some terrible predictions too. I don't remember the actual numbers, but their predictions were 20-25% higher for the Celtics when they HCA against the Cavaliers in the ECF. No model should ever be that far off from an efficient market like the NBA.That's pretty close to what Fivethirtyeight has.
GSW 63%, MIL 21%, TOR 17%.
They seem to think the Raptors have at least a decent chance to advance.
I mean if you want to call that C(rap) stuff he does talent then whatever floats your boatDrake has zero talent huh
Yep zero issues talking smack or jeering opponents however getting up in guys faces and legitimately stepping Onto the court during time outs, touching the coach, etc is crossing a line. Like I said one of these days he's gonna say something to the wrong player and get in their face and he's gonna have his mouth Shut Ron Artest in Detroit.style and I think that's something the league wants to stay away from and if the do then they need to do something about it. Go ahead and yell at the players and talk smack just don't be walking around the court with a whole display that reads "I'm an Attention WH**E!!!! Please Pay Attention To Me!!!" because what he is doing is exactly that. Its taking attention away from the players and game. I mean it I was as ####ty at my day job as he was and needed to keep my name in the spotlight I might do the same thing but this guy screams I'm desperate for that attention. He's no different then the Celebs who go to the sporting events in LA who don't give a dam about the game just there for the free press. He'd fit in perfectlyThis is my beef. You want to talk smack and jeer the opponents, great be my guest. Plenty of fans do that. However he shouldn't get to roam the sideline and walk out onto the court.
