**New England at Cleveland** Stevenson vs Chubb and Kraft just got married (1 Viewer)

I can't underestimate what The Dark Lord is capable of doing. He used to coach in Cleveland and they fired him for making a quarterback decision...

FWIW, Damien Harris is currently on the field going through a workout. He is questionable and allegedly a GTD, although I am not expecting him to play after doing little more than stretching and conditioning during practice this week.

Hoodie probably has a lil craw from his CLE experience, although he'll never show it. 'We are getting ready to play a really good football team today.'
 
Browns MLB landed on IR a few weeks ago and was replaced by little used Jacob Phillips who has been awful.
Jacob Phillips struggle mightily
  • To my recollection, this was Jacob Phillips first game in which he was “the guy” at linebacker, taking over for Anthony Walker. Phillips’ potential has been touted for a couple years now, but his first week as a starter was disastrous. Here is what Pro Football Focus had to say about it:
Much of the Browns’ front seven got railroaded in this one. No one was under attack more, however, than linebacker Jacob Phillips. Filling in for the injured Anthony Walker, Phillips allowed catches on all three of his targets for 77 yards and was a complete non-factor in the run game, earning the lowest grade in that regard of all players, pending review.

Browns could not have Jacob Phillips as a starter so they traded for Deion Jones from Atlanta to take his place but unfortunately Jones isn't ready.

Browns make slew of roster moves for matchup vs. Patriots
With the New England Patriots on the docket tomorrow at FirstEnergy Stadium, the Cleveland Browns have made three roster moves. Unfortunately, one of those moves was not the activation of newly acquired linebacker Deion Jones

  • First game when both Garrett/Clowney and our MLB Walker were healthy Browns gave up 54 yards on the ground at a clip of 2.8 yards per rush.
  • Second game, when Clowney's ankle got dinged Browns gave up 93 yards on the ground at a clip of 4.7 yards a clip.
  • Third game, Clowney injured and Walker landed on IR during the game Browns gave up 104 yards at 4.7 yards a clip.
  • Fourth game, with Waker/Garrett/Clowney OUT and Jacob's first game as a starter with the green dot.Browns gave up 177 yards on the ground at 5.1 yards a clip.
  • Fifth game, Walker OUT with Clowney and Garrett not ready to come back Atlanta changed their game-plan after they discovered the weak underbelly and just kept attacking on the ground and the Chargers saw how easy it would be and practiced all-week and killed Browns on the ground.Browns gave up 238 yards on the ground at 7.0 yards a clip.
New England has a big RB.

Art Modell fired him AFTER he moved the team to Baltimore so if you want to blame a city, blame Baltimore but note that Art Modell also fired HOF coach Paul Brown and fired another soon-to-be HOF coach in Bill Belichick so it is pretty easy to assign blame to Art Modell the only owner in NFL history to fired two Hall of Fame Head coaches.

Has the looks of a 13-12 game. Both running backs getting minimal gains, Qb's not doing much. Defense Defense.
Will probably end up 34-24

#Patriots take 10-3 lead on #BrownsCLEBrowns2022SeasonEmoji.png on a 31-yard run by Rhamondre Stevenson with 3:23 left in the first half. Stevenson had 16 yards on eight carries before that.

On the flip side, Rhamondre Stevenson's touchdown was the #Patriots *first* run today from shotgun in 18 snaps. Breaking tendencies, not bad!

The #BrownsCLEBrowns2022SeasonEmoji.png are teeing off whenever Zappe is under center, a strong run tell. The #Patriots are 90% run so far under center. Their only pass was the play-action throw on 3rd-and-goal at Cleveland's 1-yard line.
