Facook has sole possession of first place with a resounding NINE points. Let's give him a hand, folks! <insert sound of scattered, half-assed applause here> Just in case you guys hadn't noticed from the topic title, whoever (or whomever) happens to be in first place each week will get their name featured in the topics description for all other resident Shark Poolers to see. And admire! I think I speak for everyone when I say it probably doesn't get any better than that... at least, it doesn't if you've never created a thread at any point in time during your stay here.
Our defending champion, The Wick, is tied for 4th place with six points. Clearly not the best, but not bad either. I wouldn't recommend sleeping on him though, as he usually finishes strong after a slow start (see: He'll continue playing even after everyone else has given up). Our defending champion, ladies and gentleman, let's give him a hand, too!
And repping eighth place with a whopping two points is yours truly. I'm going to go with the excuse that... uhh... I was drained so much from creating the original contest post and questions that I just wasn't thinking clearly. At all. Yeah, that's it -- let's go with that. That's definitely what happened, I promise!
No matter how well or horribly you did, remember this is just the first week of the contest. This coming week is the last remaining week that will feature no eliminations, so don't get too conservative with your picks. At least, not yet.
If you'd like to view the scoring system used and other general contest notes, you may do so by clicking right HERE.
Also, don't forget to vote in the poll above if you're entered into the contest. See my second post after this one for a more detailed explanation of what bonus points would entail.
UPDATE: There's now a weekly prize as well! From my post featured somewhere below:
"Our fellow Shark Pooler, Getzlaf15, has kindly and generously offered to sponsor the contest and give our weekly winner(s) a free play over at FantasyFactor.com! Now, I can't speak from personal experience about the site, but from briefly looking it over it looks pretty cool. And it's definitely better than nothing! I think I speak for all of us involved in the contest when I offer a resounding thank you to Mr. Getzlaf15. And this dancing pickle: "
