**Steelers (10-7) at Bills (11-6)** (-10, 36.5) Sun 1pm (2 Viewers)

Maybe some people can’t fathom what a storm like this is like.

You can’t play the game if the players can’t get to the stadium. Snow falls so fast it is piled up minutes after it is plowed.

Could emergency resources be diverted and used to escort needed people to the stadium. Sure.

But might want to save those to prevent people from dying.

Not hyperbole. 39 people died in a storm last year.

Dude, this situation did not arose today, they knew all week the weather was going to be bad.. A plan should have been in place to move the game to another location. There are several NFL cities that could have held this game.. Cleveland, Philly, Cincinnati.. Even a place like Columbus or State College could have had it.

This whole thing is total BS and there Bills and the dumb NY Gov are to blame.

That’s totally unfair to Buffalo. They earned the home field. They should get to keep it.

And it's fair to Pittsburgh that they have to play Monday and then possibly Saturday if they win?

LOL. State College tell me you're a Yinzer without telling me you're a yinzer.

Lake effect snow bands are often not know where it's going to hit until right before. a slight wind shift would change everything, They were preparing, a State of Emergency was declared two days ago to get the resources in the area, With the NFL already having a game on Monday they had a fall back to wait. Science is tough.

I was looking forward to a "weather" game, but I guess anything that makes it easier to pass the ball works in our favor.
It’s still gonna be 19° and snow/rain/sleet

I think the high winds were a concern.
Yep whiteout's and a travel ban. The dome talk is pointless, would have been moved with a dome. (The new stadium will be partially covered to mitigate wind.
Agree Monday should still have a snow game feel.
Yep - it’s not about the game, it’s about 30,000 idiots drunk driving in those conditions.

Uh, no offense.

I believe since it was a scheduled game, they will play Sunday.. Baltimore is hosting the Saturday night game, so if Pittsburgh wins they will have to play Saturday.

Or even Pittsburgh, hear their stadium is empty this weekend.

Imagine the NFL played a whole season without fans in the stand and it all went well, no reason why this game couldn't be played without fans if the travel is an issue.

The piles of snow aren't really the issue. It's the white-outs. I have literally been 10 feet behind a truck that I could not see during a white-out. High winds coupled with heavy snow make it impossible to see anything.

The Bills recently played the Patriots twice. Once in much worse wind and once in much colder temperatures. No thought was given to moving or postponing either game. It's the high wind coupled with the intense snow that makes it super dangerous.

Players, coaches, referees, tv crews etc. all have to travel too. A team bus could easily crash and severely injure the players on it.

I'd be pretty shocked if the NFL scheduled the games such that either of the Monday winners were playing on Saturday
Bills Chiefs would be Sunday 4:25pm
Ravens Stillers would be Sunday at 1:00pm Easily
NFL will not schedule two AFC games on Sunday..

So you're saying you don't think the Bills and Steelers will both be playing on the same day next weekend? Bold.
LOL LOL LOL LOL right.

Like they did to start the playoffs with 3 straight AFC games? got it.
NBC grabbed the hgames today.. Next week starts exclude FOX, CBS airing games.. Two AFC games on the same day isn't happening.

Might get moved to Tuesday now...

One of the reporter guys (they’re all the same guy in the same overstarched suit) said both Monday winners will not play until Sunday.

Lee Sharpe
@LeeSharpeNFL

People whining about schedule changes when they're in reaction to emergency weather conditions is wild.Have some sympathy for people whose lives, health, and safety are at risk.
I don't know who Lee Sharpe is, but he is wrong.. It's simple, can't make it Sunday to the game, stay home.. There is no reason to move this,.. Play in weather, like the NFL did in the past. Like I said, if Pittsburgh wins, they are in a huge disadvantage having to play again on Saturday in Baltimore.

I just wish these GD owners would get rid of Goodell.

If a team can't host a game, move it to the away team's stadium.. Play the game in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
There are a lot of people besides the players and fans who are part of an NFL game. If the game were to commence, all the stadium employees, security, emergency responders (who will have more important things to do) all have to be there.

I would think Buffalo would be more capable of dealing with snow compared to Chambersburg, PA or Camp Hill.. But that is just me.
When Primanti Bros closed, it was because of 3 inches of snow.

You're doing great.
Ok and what is Buffalo's yearly snow fall total compared to Camp Hill? Like I said a few inches in South Central Pa is a big deal, especially when they get like 30" a year compared to what Buffalo gets.

Now go watch your teams Super Bowl highlights.

Please allow me to clear the field, nobody get in this man's way right now
I gotta hear more of this.

Gotta think about the popcorn concession at a time like this

-But you're right!

The Ministry supports the Bills playing on Monday Night, they earned the Division and they deserve the right to play at their home stadium
I cannot imagine Miami having to play in Atlanta because of an oncoming hurricane/storm, would be terrible.

No Ron Meyer reference?

As far as everything we didn't want to learn but did about the inflation of footballs years ago. Why can't they put them in a warmer for cold games? Or deflate them a smidge with each QB present and testing em' so that they're not like catching rocks?

I don't want the ball to be part of the story. Players, snow, cold, coaches...the ball should be assumed and taken for granted

People thinking the bad weather was an advantage to the Steelers due to the run game. No, not really. Josh Allen would be the best runner on the field and he has a strong enough arm to cut through the wind. Mason can't run and he's not as strong a thrower. And the bills would probably have a special teams advantage (punting for sure). The weather wasn't really their friend.

I don’t think wind is a big deal for throws less than 15 yards but anyone trying throw a deep pass in 40-50 mph gusts is going to have trouble
