No Royals?

So are we going to have to write in the KC draft picks or is MLB going to make it easy on American and just add them to the ballot as they are selected?

Is it time to start thinking about "limiting" the power of the fan vote? These results are ridiculous.

They did it before when Reds fans did the same thing. This usually works fine but they need to keep the ballots in the stadiums to balance out a ridiculous fan base like KC. I can see voting for some of these Royals, but this is like a cartoon.

Allowing 35 votes per email doesn't really make any sense to me.

That is way more messages than FBG's inbox even allows.

Yost is working heel on this. He pretty much told fans across the country that if they don't want to see seven Royals in the All-Star starting lineup, they should go vote.

Alex Gordon seems a bit embarrassed about it all. Predicts a change in All-Star roster selection format by next year.

This is also having a negative effect on the Royals' payroll. There's millions of unplanned All-Star Team incentives to be paid out at this rate.

How terrible would it be to have great gloves all over the field for the NL's first trip through the order, then sub in stronger bats to hit against the relievers? Finish the game with the better players? Oh the horror.

Great question

I have a feeling the commish will step and do something "for the good of the game" if the voting ends like this.

We don't have beaches, or skiing, or hiking, or a vibrant music scene.

We have BBQ, the Chiefs, the Royals, and our iPads. We can vote in numbers.

Royals had best TV share this season out of all the teams - makes sense that KC would rock the vote.

Royals picked up a lot of fans across the country last fall with the underdog story, unlikely playoff run, and entertaining style of play.Big following in the Far East, too. With all the voting online this season, Royals fans in Japan and Korea arent offset by paper ballots in MLB stadiums.
