This should probablty be in the drunk thread but anyway I keep hearing about limit and no limit texas holedem in Tunica. But checkinh out the websites for Bally, Gold Strike, Horseshoe, and Roadhouse - I don't really see Texas holdem specified. Antyone know of any live holdem in Tunica?

all i know is its where PLO got popular. went there when it was brand new cuz i was in the biz and we'all pretty much took road trips to every casino boomtown in the first decade of proliferation, i believe that county was Bottom 5 poorest counties in America at the time, so there were sharecropper shacks just blocks from gleaming neon. theme park from hell. all else i remember was that the PLO (was unusual to see any PL - my road game -in the early 90s) was built around a 500lb former NFL lineman who sat on last base with his leg splayed out to fit in and his giant butt hanging halfway to Bingo. hope that helps....

That does help, thank you Wikkid.

Anyhoo, um, anyone else?

Horseshoe and gold strike are the play. Both spread lots of 1/2 and shoe spreads a lively 2/5NL game too. They're Next door to each other as well, which is nice.

Poker rate rooms are very affordable with 6-8 hours play per day.

When ya heading down? I play periodically.... usually play a bit more  4/8 limit but will play 1/2 at times.

Thanks icon - I thought that was the case but I didn't see any clear info on it from their web sites. I'll bump this whenever I plan to head over for a weekend. I'm not good enough yet to play limit so I'm sticking to 1/2 NL for now.
