START EM ONCE (LEAGUE SAFE)

TEAM and ENRTY FEE ... This is a very unique fun league. Last year we had 71 teams and are trying to max out on MFL website with 96 teams. An owner can own 1 to 4 teams. Entry fee for this year 2017  is just $25 per team (increases incrementally up to $50 per team by 2020) but you are only committing for 1 year. Also, prior year teams get first priority for the following year.

SO HOW IS IT UNIQUE? ... There is no draft, waivers, or trade. All 96 teams have access to every NFL player at the start of the season. Lineups are hidden until that player's game start. Once you start a player you can not use him again in the fantasy regular season or playoffs. Only the top one-third (32 teams) make the playoffs based on total points. Playoffs run Week 13-16 (total points). Your point total for the regular season is cleared for the playoff meaning all playoffs teams start with no score and cannot use a player used in the regular season.

For anyone on the fence I STRONGLY urge you to check out this format.  Start'em once is maybe the most strategic form of fantasy out there.  Last year this league was a blast.  Your team can make a run at any time of the year if you hit just a couple of lower utilized players.   There is a ton of strategy each week that really amps up if you need to make a run at the top third / playoff tier at the end of the regular season weeks 10, 11 & 12.  Or maybe you are sitting in the top third, but now you have to worry about staying there with other teams playing studs and making a run to get in.  Maybe you want to get out of the gate early and be a front runner or play possum and sneak into the fray in week 12.  In any scenario or strategy you definitely want to save some bullets for the playoff weeks to cash in.   Like I said tons of strategy, tons of fun and only $25 to get in and maybe make a nice return on investment with the potential of 96 teams looming.  Give it a shot the $25 will be well spent breaking from the traditional season long or DFS formats.

May be interested- what are the payouts (assuming 96 teams)?

Curious as to why/how the entry fee increases each year?
