The #Chargers suffered a tough loss yesterday in practice. Sources say star safety Derwin James will be out a significant amount of time, but how much is still undetermined, as of now.  He injured his foot yesterday and was spotted in a boot today.

would think by now they would know if its a sprain, what level of sprain, broken, torn ligaments, whatever.   

Hopefully its a 2 week kinda thing at most.  I know I am.

Just saw, stress fracture in 5th metatarsal.   No clue yet how long he's out.   Damn!

Chargers coach Anthony Lynn isn't sure if S Derwin James (foot) will return this season.

"I would like for him to play in 2019, but I don’t know that for sure," said Lynn. Per Josina Anderson of ESPN, James has already met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who was recommended by teammate Joey Bosa. Sports injury expert Dr. David Chao expects Jones to a miss of minimum of six weeks, though the more likely scenario is that he begins the year on injured reserve with a designation to return. It's a big loss for the Chargers' secondary

Chargers S Derwin James is scheduled to undergo foot surgery in North Carolina on Thursday, per source. A screw that James had inserted in his foot as a freshman at Florida State bent last week and doctors determined it’s best to remove it. James is expected back in 3-4 months.

I am stashing him on an IL spot. Worth the wait if you can do it.
