Trent Cole - LB - EaglesEagles OLB Trent Cole is uncertain to play for the rest of the season due to a broken hand.

Could be interesting news for b graham

Someone is going to be late season gold for Denver, either Steven Johnson or Todd Davis maybe. They clearly have no confidence in Barrow, maybe Corey Nelson who has played some.

Inside linebacker Keenan Robinson and strong safety Brandon Meriweather both practiced for the first time since suffering game-ending injuries against the Indianapolis Colts three weeks ago. Both were listed as limited on the injury report.

Robinson expressed encouragement over how his injured right knee felt following Wednesday’s practice. Meriweather, who has missed the last two games with turf toe, still appeared to struggle with mobility as he went through individual drills at half-speed.

ASHBURN, Va. -- The feeling in his chest made it tough to breathe, so Washington Redskins rookie corner Bashaud Breeland had to bench himself for a play. The combination of cold weather and running and the excitement of a game proved too much.

That’s what happened to Breeland three times against the New York Giants. He was forced out of the game so he could use an inhaler to help with a breathing issue. Breeland said it was bronchitis and added that his family has a history of bronchitis as well as asthma.“When it gets colder and I’m running, it’s like mucus is building up in my chest and it’s hard to expand in the shoulder pads,” he said. “So I get short of breath. It put me on a little attack, and that sometimes happens when I get excited.”

But it’s only happened in one other game this season, which happened to be his best: The Oct. 27 win at Dallas. In that game, Breeland did not have anything on the sideline, but there was something for him to use in the locker room.

Last week, he had issues all week leading into the game, so they had an inhaler for him on the sidelines.

“It’s not that bad,” Breeland said. “It just that when it happens I have to come out, take a breather and go back in. It doesn’t bother me all the time.”

Breeland said it never happened to him at Clemson -- nor has it been an issue this week during practice. Redskins coach Jay Gruden said now that they know what the issue is -- they weren’t quite sure initially at Dallas -- they can be more prepared.

Kool-Aid, do you see Robinson playing 75% or splitting time with Will Compton due to his health?

BEREA, Ohio -- Karlos Dansby felt encouraged a few weeks ago that he could make a swift recovery from his sprained MCL.

But Dansby told ESPN on Thursday, "it's all up in the air" if the team will shut him down after the biggest hurdle to recovery is making lateral movements from the linebacker spot.

Dansby, who's missed four weeks with the injury, didn't sound as positive as in previous weeks. Coach Mike Pettine originally diagnosed the injury as a month-long recovery, and Dansby injured the knee 32 days ago against Houston.

"I'm trying to do what I can to get back," Dansby said. "It's a tough injury, especially at my position, all the lateral movements and that kind of stuff. It's detrimental. I can't go out there and put some bad film out there and let the guys down in this room. That's one thing I do not want to do. I'm not that selfish to go out there and do that. It's a fine line. You have to be smart and look at it from the bigger picture. If I'm healthy enough to go out there and do it, I'll do it."
