Phoenix - Pet friendly area? (1 Viewer)

Have to be outside of Phoenix in Maricopa for business for a day next month so planning a road trip with the wife and two dogs. Plan to stay a day or two in the greater Phoenix area and explore a bit before heading up to Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Canyon de Chelly areas.

Any suggestions on nice pet friendly areas in Phoenix? Any great dog parks or areas near a lot of parks, etc.?

I use to spend time out there as a kid but I just don't remember the areas all that well. 

There's lots of dog parks in the Phoenix metro area - you can search them online.  Since you'll be southeast in Maricopa, you can go to Cosmo Dog Park - it has a lake and a beach where the dogs can swim.

Good dog park in Scottsdale at Hayden and McDonald.

Also most hiking trails are dog friendly, nice hiking trail at 32nd street and Lincoln in Paradise Valley/Phoenix just don’t park in the Starbucks parking lot across the street as there is a high likelihood of being towed.
