Enrique goes from praising Inter for losing gracefully in the UCL to trying to choke out a Chelsea player when his own team loses. What a maroon.
If this wasn't PSG I'd expect a very long, multiple month ban, but since it is PSG he'll likley get a small fine only.
Yeah. I remember it very well. Myself and most American soccer fans were quite pissed about it and it became very obvious how much we missed him when we couldn't create any offense against Belgium in the knock out round and wasted perhaps the greatest GK performance of all time.
Three very...
Pulisic a likely? LOL. I know Poch is butthurt by his absence this summer, but you want to see the biggest meltdown of all time? Leave the US's best ever player off the WC roster and wait for the fireworks.....
I disagree, Sanchez was looking at the ball the entire time. His arm was extended in a way that you wouldn't naturally do to try and brace yourself IMO. Seemed intentional to me, but ref and VAR agreed with you. I still think the US players have a right to be angry about the non-call...
There were 3 guys on that field for the US that will figure in to next year's sqaud. We finished 2nd and have a right to feel upset for not having been given an obvious hand ball that could've/would've sent us to the title. This is absolutely a win for the US IMO. If we had even 3-4 more...
Italy has been the resurrection league for much of the last decade or more IMO. Hell, it's where Pulisic fixed his career. I'd love to see Gio head to a mid table Serie A club like Milan(you're welcome Floppo) IMO.
Not surprising with the new manager(since March). Figure we're about 2 weeks out from McKennie transfer rumors and training alone and 3 months out from him being the best player on the team again.
It's such a weird vibe as an American not having a top quality keeper. That was our thing!
Imagine our current A squad with 2014 Howard or 2006 Keller? We would have a great chance at the quarters and even an outside chance at the semis IMO.
Thoughts....
Haiti had been playing decent football coming in to the tourney, so they weren't the same cupcake we'd normally have seen, but still it was a pretty poor game overall for the US.
Freese.... recovered well from his early mistake and made some decent saves, but I don't envision him...
