Speaking of coming at the king, from ESPN:
...
Toward the end of a speech that lasted close to an hour, Lurie made an analogy, telling the room that regardless of whether the play was banned, it was a "win-win" for the Eagles, adding that it was "like a wet dream for a teenage boy" to create a...
Correct, 22 teams voted to ban it
10 voted to maintain the pushing of tushes: Eagles, Ravens, Browns, Lions, Jaguars, Dolphins, Patriots, Saints, Jets, Titans
For those Eagles fans feeling petty (despite Green Bay obviously bringing this to the table on behalf of the League Office), the Eagles...
Green Bay has a retiring President (Mark Murphy, the closest Green Bay comes to an owner) and most suspect the organization is carrying water for the league office to officially be the team to propose this.
The Packers successfully ran the Tush Push last season (with their TE) and did as well...
Either the Packers (a team that successfully ran the Tush Push on offense with their TE many times last season) proposed to ban the play because they can't stand the Eagles and are doing whatever they can to stop Philadelphia's offense <or> the organization is led by a soon to be retiring...
When NFL owners meet in Minneapolis in a few weeks they are expected to consider a revised proposal that would prohibit a teammate from pushing or pulling a ballcarrier anywhere on the field.

Those fouls dry up as the postseason gets deeper. I'm not sure Brunson's a good defensive player either. He's good at drawing non-sense charges and is a smart positional defender, but he can't stay in front of anybody and he's too small to be switchable.
Overall, he's overrated by the masses...
Brunson is the new Chris Paul
Constantly grifting to an annoying level. Also, big regular season stats that appear to put him among a level of player he isn't. Doubt he has what it takes to win deep in the playoffs either.
They're working on it.
PFT feels the league lawyers are about to push the owner's tushes on this one. Maybe the pro-Tush Push team lawyers will quit whining and just find a way to stop it. :wink...
I don't think the Tush Push will be banned this week. A vote will take place on the current proposal, but probably not reach the needed 24 votes.
The proposed rule includes language that leaves it open to some interpretation, and that's a big issue officiating the Tush Push already. Based on...
Sirianni on the tush-push vote: "All I will say ... is Gannon, Steichen and Moore better vote for it. They are in the (HC) position right now because of that play. So all 3, I better have those 3 votes right there and the Eagles vote. I at least know we have 4"...

Dianna Russini on BlueSky:
"Nothing is set in stone yet.
But the sense I get from around the league is that momentum around banning the tush push is growing."
Here's the proposed rule NFL teams will vote on:
If passed, Rule 12, Section 1 would be amended to say, “No offensive player may . . . immediately at the snap, push or throw his body against a teammate, who was lined up directly behind the snapper and received the snap, to aid him in an attempt...
