He's no Topher GraceTom Hardy looks outstanding as usual. Great casting for Eddie Brock.
I'm confused. Is this following the comics at all? Or just the general idea but without the history? Is Spidey involved?So... Why does it look like Spider-Man if it never melded with Peter Parker?
It looks like a completely made up story and does not involve Spiderman.I'm confused. Is this following the comics at all? Or just the general idea but without the history? Is Spidey involved?
Damn. I was hoping for historical accuracy. It looks like a completely made up story and does not involve Spiderman.

Hint...this isn't Marvel making this.Dear Marvel,
Stop making Spiderman movies about 4 movies ago.
thanks!
Noted.Hint...this isn't Marvel making this.
You didn't like Homecoming? I thought that was quite good.Noted.
addendum: Hey everyone, lets go no more Spiderman movies for the next 20 years.

I know. But that's a common criticism I find laughable (not at you, the critics)It doesn't follow the comics. I was answering your question![]()
How does one draw that distinction? Just curious because they used the Marvel header in the trailer. It’s not MCU y’all.
It’s Sony owned. It’s still a marvel character but they sold the movie license to Sony. Movies like X-men and Deadpool aren’t in the MCU either. How does one draw that distinction? Just curious because they used the Marvel header in the trailer.
That is no longer in effect. Sony made a deal with Marvel. That's how they got Spider-Man in Civil War and Iron Man in Homecoming. It’s Sony owned. It’s still a marvel character but they sold the movie license to Sony. Movies like X-men and Deadpool aren’t in the MCU either.
So not really. Siper-Man specifically was the deal, not the ancillary characters. Ultimately all the characters will be back under the MCU at some point in the future IMO. I think Sony will eventually make a deal for everything and Disney just bought Fox so they now have all of the mutants back, although it will be many years before MCU does anything with them per FeigeThat is no longer in effect. X-Men is still an exclusive Fox property but Spider-Man, and related characters like Venom I assume, and Fantastic Four are now part of the MCU.

Too many moving parts for me to keep track of in real time.So not really. Siper-Man specifically was the deal, not the ancillary characters. don't forget spidergirl and spiderbaby and spiderrippaadoopoppa, the hip hop web slingin jive talkin grandpa spidey. I'm all in at that point. If it's MCU maybe they can incorporate with future Spider-Man movies.
Pretty sure @AhrnCityPahnderwould love a three movie set-up to a final three movie confrontation between Spider-Man and Venom, Spider Man and Carnage and just Spider Man chillaxing after those first two movies.
And Peter Porker as Spider-Ham!don't forget spidergirl and spiderbaby and spiderrippaadoopoppa, the hip hop web slingin jive talkin grandpa spidey. I'm all in at that point.
I thought that was the best part. Looked coolI'd watch but that Venom at the end looks pretty bad.
The black spidey costume was the winner of the fan poll iirc. It wasn't revealed as a symbiote until later. To be fair....the Venom origin was pretty dumb and I'm fine with them coming up with a new one.
For those not in the know. The symbiote the ends up becoming Venom first started in Marvel's Secret Wars when Spider-Man got it out of a machine that was supposed to replicate clothing......he thought he was getting a new outfit as the one he was wearing got trashed.
Yeah, like a wet rubber mask. Reminds me of the Spawn movie mask. Not good for 2018.I'd watch but that Venom at the end looks pretty bad.
Like a slug with teeth and a stupid gross tongue.Yeah, like a wet rubber mask. Reminds me of the Spawn movie mask. Not good for 2018.
