14,000 beers (1 Viewer)

I'm not questioning you, I just don't understand how that's possible.  Even at around 4.2% alcohol per beer, the liver can't metabolize the alcohol that quickly.  But I guess I'm just a super lightweight
4% and from about 7am (big breakfast with a couple beer and clam before golf) to 2am (bonfire drinking) it isn't even 2 beer an hour.

100 over 3 days is doable.  I don't think you do it by chance or without committing to doing it.....but it certainly can be done.

18 hour day, 2 per hour makes 36 beers and you're not even drunk.  Going harder during the evening and night part of the day raises that number.  Have you never known a morning or day drinker?
Disagree wholeheartedly.

2 per hour for 18 hours, not only are you extremely fatigued unless on coke, you're also drunk.

The more I think about it, 2 per hour for 18 straight hours :lmao:

so the day is basically waking up at 5:58am, cracking your first beer at 6am, and then having one every half hour until midnight :lmao:

While I'm not going to dispute that could be done simply, I would question why unless there is a lot of money at stake. I can't imagine A) not feeling like a gigantic POS by midnight B) not having a BAC of at least .15-.20, which is 2-3x the legal limit and certainly drunk regardless of how you tell me you feel.

And then getting up at 6:00 the next day and doing it again.  And then a third time the following day.  Possible?  Yeah, maybe just.  But it would be a colossal feat, and certainly not the "no big deal" that it's being presented as here.

the BAC* would easily be .30+ so you would need a built-in tolerance to move on to day 2.

*The average body processes 1 drink per hour and each drink adds ~.025 to BAC so multiply that by 18 and you get BAC .45 but I believe it would be lower.

Go for it!

If you are drinking beers that are 120 calories, that's only 480 extra pounds of body weight you need to work off (or make up for via diet).

I don't keep track, but I bet I only had 20 drinks, beers and booze, no wine, last year.  I did not have a drink on New Years.  I did have two beers and a bottle of Baily's one afternoon during March Madness, it was while watching the Badgers.  I don't know when I will drink again, maybe Memorial Day or the 4th of July or a wedding in July.

I think a really large, really talented alcoholic could do it.  A 300 - 350 pound man in the 6' 6" or larger range with good metabolism and in excellent drinking condition could do it.

Certainly AtG could have done it easily. Look at his hand holding a 12 oz beer. http://i.imgur.com/sNsjGNJ.jpg

For the record, I would never even attempt such a feat, even at my peak.

Thought about this one today:

For $10k I think I could get it done... If I could use a stimulant, I could def get it done, although there is a chance I'd die.

Wouldnt attempt for less.

my old man used to knock out 3 dozen+ a day during some sustained stretches. usually while golfing or playing softball. i've seen it in person many, many times.

he's 6 ft and at his peak around 375.

I've definitely gone through 100 beers in 3 days before. I'd never say it was easy, and I never really counted, but I've definitely done it. I did the Gauntlet (detailed here at FBG) a few years ago and drank 16 pints between 5-10 PM and had 3-4 beers earlier in the day. That's over a case in one late afternoon /evening without breaking a sweat, and this was in my 40s. In my 20s, forget it. I've funneled 50-60 beers over a 3 day weekend and that's without counting the non-stop walking around beers and the shots. I'd bet there were 3 day stretches where I went through 5-6 cases easy.

You're like the Michael Jordan of ingestible chemicals though.  You make regular All-Star level drug users and drinkers like the rest of us feel like little boys.

We talked about this a lot in college but never attempted it. We agreed that we would need a handler - could not keep track of beer intake ourselves AND would need someone to wake us up each morning.

If you drank a beer every hour for an entire day without sleeping, you would drink 24 beers.

Bing it if you don't believe me.

It would actually be easier to drink the alcohol equivalent in stronger / better beer IMO.  You wouldn't get as full or bloated, and wouldn't feel as much like ### the next mornings.

Put me in the 100 beers in 3 days is doable camp.  Seriously, 100 ####ty light beers and a gallon of water every now and then.  6AM to midnight is 36 beers.

I may have tried this 10 years ago but I'm too old now and have no interest.  Maybe the next time the family goes out of town I'll chronicle one day of drinking starting early and see what I can do.

Do I get a t-shirt at the end, or name on a plaque?  Personal barstool, fancy keg handle?  Something?  Need incentive to push hard these days, otherwise sticking to my snobbery and visiting the local brewpubs with growler in hand and doing quality over quantity...

...but okay, gotta start somewhere, beer for breakfast it is
