1st pick in league with qb flex (1 Viewer)

In a 12 team league with 6 pt QB TDs and qb flex, who do you draft first overall? QB or RB?

QB without an afterthought... IF you could happen to get 2 of the top 7 QB's it will give you a huge advantage as QB's will outscore even the best of RB's unless they changed the RB scoring to something heavy.

Though I could see some people thinking one of a couple other players like Brady or Rivers is going to go berserk.

I was in that spot last season. Picked Rodgers. Won the league. Would do it the same way every time.

Depends on how the draft goes. If you can get a Top 10 QB here, I would go QB and then take BPA at WR/RB/TE. I very much doubt that a Top 10 QB is available, but you never know. Some folks really don't understand how to draft with a QB Flex. You may be finding that QB10 is still outscoring RB1 and WR1. If it was me, I'd be figuring out my baselines based on scoring rules and determining at what point I move away from a QB/QB strategy.

I did my 8 team QB flex PPR league last night out of the 6th slot and ended up with:

Rodgers

McCoy

SJax

Wayne

Welker

Gates

Eli Manning

Bironas

Philly D

Bench: Dez Bryant, Colston, Best, Jimmy Graham

I could have had Vick or Brady instead of McCoy, Peyton instead of Wayne, or Romo instead of SJax. Otherwise I think I did alright. 8 team leagues look weird when you're done because every team looks loaded.

12 team, 3rd overall pick = RodgersMy goal was to get a top 10 QB as late as i could and I waited too long. For that to happen, I would have needed to grab QB in round 3. Ended up getting Stafford at rd 5,pick 3. Looking at who i ended up getting in rds 2-4 (Hillis, V-Jax, Clark) I wish i had drafted QB back to back or at latest, round 3.

I have one league with a flex that can be QB/RB/WR, so QBs are much more valuable. I kept Roethlisberger and at slot 10, I will absolutely grab a QB if the right one is there. It is tough to tell because a couple top QBs have been keepers, but even with that, there are still usually 1-2 QBs in the first round.

I would definitely consider Rodgers at #1 if he was available. I think Foster is going to have a great year again, so he is the only other option I might take.
