from cbssportslineLaDainian Tomlinson, RB SDNews: Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson does not think 2,000 rushing yards is plausible this year. Having rushed for at least 103 yards in eight consecutive games, Tomlinson goes into Sunday's game at Seattle with 1,626 yards – 374 short of the 2,000 milestone just five players have reached. His season started slow. Through six games, Tomlinson had rushed just 125 times for 473 yards. In games 4-6, he carried just 49 times for 173 yards. It was in the seventh game that he began this epic run, in which he has averaged 165 yards a game and scored a total of 23 touchdowns. He is just 57 yards from tying his career high in rushing yards, set in 2002. Tomlinson is on track to gain the second-most yards from scrimmage in league history. The league record is 2,429 set by Marshall Faulk in 1999. Tomlinson's current pace would put him at 2,410. Tomlinson's 2,370 scrimmage yards in 2003 is third-most all-time.
He needs 374 yards in two games. I think that is very unlikely. I expect Turner to get a little extra action as well. I do think he has an outside shot at 2500 total yards because he has almost 500 receiving yards and might get another 100+ receiving yards. When looking at the stats, LT has been amazing. Through 14 games, he has:311 rushes1626 rush yards5.2 yards per rush avg28 rush TDs53 receptions484 receiving yards9.1 avg yards per reception3 receiving TDs
I think just too many yards. Unless he put up monster numbers this week, then they might go for it. Wow that game against PIT where he only got 36 yds looks pretty big now.

Nah, he won't get 2000, though I'd like to see him get it. Unless the next two defenses he faces leave gaping holes and let's him scamper for 80+ yards on one or two plays, I think he'll have to get most of it this week. If they lock homefield up this week, he'll play very little next week methinks.
Forget, the rushing yards...in the next two games, he should focus on putting the TD record completely out of reach, and score 7 TDs in the next 2 games.
