2006 Consensus QB Rankings (1 Viewer)

I agree. Bulger is more likely to miss a game.

The early projection- this qb list has gone thru many changes just in the last two weeks.

but back to Bulger as number one.

I decided to discount the inj concern-

also increased TD production . Based on

1) Better. or increased rushing attempts per game- IMO opens up passing TDs

2) and early Def low ranking- The rams have added some FA that might effect defensive, but its early

3) I like high points per game. players- (a strategy based on "committee" approach to all positions)

4) Bruces resigned, Curtis and Mcdonald are good

5) I read somewhere- Rams are looking to upgrade the TE position.

These assumptions are probably - False assumptions. But ,when I do projections I choose to do many different scenarios . Leading to the real value of doing projections. Just doing them. Increases awareness of wacky possibilities.

The nfl while sometimes predictable, this in not usually the case. ( the top ten rankings do have turnover, do to many reasons) This year(2006) there are many changes(head coaches)- leading to more projections based on what a coach did somewhere else.

1. P. Manning

2. T. brady

3. M. Bulger

4. M. Hasselbeck

5. D. Brees

6. M. Vick

7. B. Rothlisberger

8. K. Warner

9. D. McNabb

10. T. Green

11. B. Leftwich

12. E. Manning

This list proves to me the relative uselesness of drafting a QB anywhere in the first half of the draft. I only have 15 points between T. Brady at #2 and E. Manning at #12. My plan for this year is to draft the Wash. and Det. QB tandems late and just start whoever has the best matchup. I have the combination of Brunell and Campbel equal to the #2 QB and Kitna/McNown as equal to the #8.
