If Michael Johnson had played football at FSU, they would have said that about him too. Doesnt affect his ability to play Corner though.SOD imo. Here goes the Cromartie bashing....When FSU coaches say "best athlete we've had since Deion", you better pay attention.
EXACTLY what the Chargers need. Adding McCree at safety and Cromartie at corner should go a long way to shoring up the pass defense.
Now the Chargers go OL for the rest of the draft....
ok. Quincy Morgan.Pitt definitely needs a #2 WR. There isn't one on their roster. Don't tell me about Cedric Wilson. They're saying Holmes. For who? I could see them going after Maroney.Local radio in Pgh talking about the Steelers maybe trying to move up to the Chiefs spot.

Honestly, I've been watching FSU football all my life. He's one of the most phyiscally gifted players I've ever seen here. I'd be ok with Holmes at 32.Please god don't let the Steelers take any of these "first round" rated WRs.
Does he have the instincts needed to be a good CB? Didn't get to see him play much. With the new rules designed to help the passing game, I wouldn't take a CB in the first unless I was certain the guy is going to come in and play at a high level from the get go.SOD imo. Here goes the Cromartie bashing....When FSU coaches say "best athlete we've had since Deion", you better pay attention.

could be, but i'm defintely rooting for him.he was just awesome in the Ohio State gameHali = Reach.
Curious where he will land. Of course Tampa and Cincy won't take him. San Fran seems a possibility. Could he be around when Indy picks instead of Maroney...Deangelo Williams is there too....
To answer my own question of why Hali had a bad combine:He had a bad combine because he was taking a full load of classes to finish his degree right up to and through the combine. He studied for a test the last day of the combine when he wasn't doing drills. The guy is an excellent player with a lot to prove and a great head on his shoulders. I wish Seatle would have got him.Hali = Reach.
You really don't have to be but so fast to be a d-lineman.I know guys like Peppers and Freeney are exciting, but the QB is a whopping 5 yards away from you. You don't need a 4.5 40 to rush the QB.His backstory is amazing...TSN had a great article about him and the horrors of his life thus far. However, that doesnt change the fact that KC reached for a weak, slow DE they could have gotten 10 picks later. This kid has an incredible story. Came to the States when he was 11 from Liberia. Someone easy to root for.
that was ####### hilarious!at Jets fans in NYC booing Herm.
It would be a shocker if the 49ers didn't take DeAngelo Williams.Curious where he will land. Of course Tampa and Cincy won't take him. San Fran seems a possibility. Could he be around when Indy picks instead of Maroney...Deangelo Williams is there too....

I believe you, and I think its entirely possible he'll be a great CB with some coaching. But him being a great athlete does nothing to justify the pick right now. Of course, GMs have justified more with less, so....Honestly, I've been watching FSU football all my life. He's one of the most phyiscally gifted players I've ever seen here. I disagree. This team has tons of needs. I look for them to draft Justice or defense. It would be a shocker if the 49ers didn't take DeAngelo Williams.Curious where he will land. Of course Tampa and Cincy won't take him. San Fran seems a possibility. Could he be around when Indy picks instead of Maroney...Deangelo Williams is there too....
DE would be my call.To play DE or Linebacker?I'd be stunned if KC does not take Lawson if he's available.Yeah. Jimmy Williams would be good at that spot. Edwards likes db's. But can they pass up Manny. Seems like i said that before. Most likely DB, but if Lawson is there, he'd be a great pick.(K bell sucks)What are the Chiefs looking at? DB? I haven't followed them this offseason.
Thinking that to but Hicks came on and have to see if it's time to give up on Barlow at last.It would be a shocker if the 49ers didn't take DeAngelo Williams.Curious where he will land. Of course Tampa and Cincy won't take him. San Fran seems a possibility. Could he be around when Indy picks instead of Maroney...Deangelo Williams is there too....
Id love to see you say that straight-faced to a football coach. If he didnt laugh you out of the room, hed probably punch you.You really don't have to be but so fast to be a d-lineman.I know guys like Peppers and Freeney are exciting, but the QB is a whopping 5 yards away from you. Not with how much the 49ers reportedly loved Williams. And there will be plenty of good o-linemen available in round 2.I disagree. This team has tons of needs. Hali may still have been there at 54 (KC's next pick).KC may have been better served with a player who's slipping, like Justice, and either Hali or a comparable DE in Rd. 2.To answer my own question of why Hali had a bad combine:He had a bad combine because he was taking a full load of classes to finish his degree right up to and through the combine. I doubt that.EDIT TO ADD: GB would have taken him at 37Hali may still have been there at 54 (KC's next pick).KC may have been better served with a player who's slipping, like Justice, and either Hali or a comparable DE in Rd. 2.To answer my own question of why Hali had a bad combine:He had a bad combine because he was taking a full load of classes to finish his degree right up to and through the combine. Sometimes you just have to project how good a guy will be. I think he's a top-5 guy if he played in 2005.I believe you, and I think its entirely possible he'll be a great CB with some coaching. What did I tell you!?!?!Pats will take Maroney. Dillon getting older, a big risk. Almost guarantee it. Why? Because that would solidify the Bills finishing 4th.
