2006 Shark Pool Suicide -- Week 4 *** 471 still alive *** (1 Viewer)

How many weeks in a row can I pick against Ten? It doesn't look like they are even trying to win any games this season.

Actually my week 4 pick is going to be Atlanta, I think they'lll rebound from that tough Mon night loss.

Week 4 - ATLANTA

Week 3 - Miami

Week 2 - SD

Week 1 - NE

How many teams are losing that picked Miami this week?

How many more will we lose with a Colts loss?

Dallas = easy pick of the week.

My internet was down this morning so I couldn't pick :(

If I still can pick of the remaining 2 games, I guess I'll take Seattle tonight.

If not, its been fun I guess.

note that dickey moe PM'd me from his FBG vacation home (where he will be living for a month :own3d: ) He PM'd me at 12.10pm today and took dallas.

Also (by shick! proxy) MBK4Registered took Dallas as well.

I've been on vacation all weekend and mostly intarwebless...I'll catch up on this thread tomorrow and post results/elims.

One of my main thoughts (RE: Suicide Picks) this week:

All those picking Indy this week: did you not look ahead to Week 5 and see that the Colts are playing the Titans. At home.

It's the Suicide Pick equivalent of a bye week.

Took them a few weeks ago against the Texans.

mother####in c###s###in jags.

i loved the jags in this game as soon as i saw it b/c i thought the skins were not that good and would be satisfied with their win the prior week, whereas the jags have been very impressive and i figured that they'd be pissed after losing to indy.

the line was very low to me, though (3/3.5), so yesterday morning i was going to change my pick to Dallas. i decided to stay with the jags and the result, bollocks.

i didn't even get a chance to try my new theory: always pick double-digit favorites. they don't always cover, but they practically always win.

Took Miami this week. I should have learned my lesson 2 years ago when I also took them against Houston  .

I'm sure Arhn will have the complete results soon, but just a preliminary perusal of the picks made on this thread concludes the following people were knocked out for wrong picks (I'm sure many more will be knocked out for No Pick):

Looks like it's going to be a Bye Week in the Shark Pool Suicide game in Week 5, as almost everybody who hasn't already picked the Colts will take them to blow out the Titans this week (at Indy). Look for everybody else to take New England over Miami (at New England).

 I'm not taking either one actually.

That Miami game stinks of upset. Wouldn't put money on it, but division opponent, pats coming off an emotional win on the road......

I could see taking Chicago (at home) over Buffalo this week, too.The biggest opening lines of the weekend: Colts -18.5  Bears -10.5, Patriots -9.5

All three of these games are locks to win (not necessarily to cover).

Not sure why you think this? IMO opinion the Colts are as close as a sure thing you can get in this format- almost regardless of who they play. You want to save those sure things for the weeks where there are no other options, not for when the "sure thing" plays the worst team. Still lots of options this week with NE, Car, Chi, Jack.
