So much talk about Rouse and rightfully so. Merriweather, too....well deserved.

I'll back Weddle who'll start day #1 and have to defend a lot of passes from teams playing catch-up against a great pass rush.....dying duck interceptions for the center fielder.

Not looking like he's going to be starting from day one at this point. Just a FYI.

Coach Norv Turner indicated that Clinton Hart has beaten out rookie Eric Weddle for the starting strong safety job.

"I like the way Clinton Hart is playing so that kind of answers the question," Turner said.

It's just a matter of time, Sack Head.Weddle has a way of gathering moss, and turn overs. He'll be in the lineup soon, say week #9, the week after the bye, against HOU.

Let's revisit as the season progresses. They moved up to draft him for a reason.

Again..."Hart beating out a Rookie" is hardly news. Hart holding off the Rookie is just a matter of time.

I'll vote for Darrelle Revis. I think he will be starting within a few weeks, and hes looked good so far

This guy is hands down best outside pass rusher that was available and gets after the passer with relentless abandonment. He may have hard time stopping the run that will be focused right at him but give him plenty of opportunity to make big plays. The Beast from the East...

I was thinking Beason or even Harris could compete, but then I saw how many solo tackles Willis has had so far in the season. 123 with one game left to play. That's impressive.
