With Al Wilson being released where do you see DJ Williams now? I know its not a for sure thing he is the MLB with Nate Webster but....inquiring minds want to know. :)
Projected him up to 18 on Saturday. Other movers included Bradie James, who fell down into LB2-3 range due to reports that he will probably sit in nickel situations, and a swap of Paris Lenon and Teddy Lehman.
I picked up Lenon on a hunch in FA back on March 15. Jene, have you seen something solid on Lenon vs. Lehman? I know Lehman just can't stay healthy, which is why I got Lenin for a measely $1.... but other than that, I don't reacall any significant news on Lehman. Thanks... and geeze, what an asset you are around here! How's that fer buttering you up a bit? :)
Don't get too excited. Lenon isn't anyhing special as you know. There was a local note this morning that suggested that new DC Joe Barry might have his eye on Shelton Quarles if the Bucs release him and he's healthy enough to play. Here's the depth chart note on Lenon from last week mixed in with some other defensive notes.

Barry said Paris Lenon was the starter at middle linebacker ahead of Teddy Lehman.

Don't get too excited!?! I wuz havin puppies over here! :D J/K of course. But, that was the piece of news I hadn't heard. :lmao: Fortunately, we don't assign contracts until just before the season starts, so plenty of time for this to wash out. I'll be watching closely during the preseason. The note on Quarles is interesting.... does he really have another year left in that 35 year old body?

If Quarles is released, the way it sounds, not likely he will be able to pass a physical.

A question for you Jene. I was surprised that you left Daryl Smith of Jacksonville off your list. It appears as though he may get the MLB spot. What do you think of Smith?

I like him as a player. If he plays MLB, he'll obviously move out of that huge tier of low LB3-LB4s and Peterson down out of the LB1 tier. But I think Peterson will have more impact on Smith's MLB statlines than Smith as a WLB had on Peterson's statlines. Smith was too inconsistent to crack LB2 territory after he inherited the MLB job. In one of my leagues, he was the 38th best LB over the last six weeks of the season. I think he improves on that with a full offseason of work (if it happens) and a healthy DT tandem, but I don't think he has Peterson's top five potential at MLB.

Yo, Patrick Willis will end up much higher. Trust me. I was right about DeMeco last year. I predict top ten numbers.
