I thought I'd post somethnig new besides the typical Texans/Broncos RBs or Lelie/Duckett/Portis threads.
I know it's early, but with College ball on the horizon and some Big Boards (Kiper's included) in the making, I think it'd be fun to project the first fwe picks of the 2007 NFL Draft, or at the very least, get some good discussion going on the skill position prospects (for Dynasty purposes)
We've got a few threads on this already...

But more info is always fun, so I'm rolling out my Projected Top 10 picks in the 2007 NFL Draft (*underclassman)...
1. San Francisco 49ers- Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma* The number 1 pick will probably be Peterson (assuming he comes out) or Brady Quinn, depending on what team lands the prize. The 49ers don't get to play the Texans this year
. Gore may very well prove he is not durable enough to be an every-down back in the NFL, and the 49ers are desperate for weapons on Offense.
2. New York Jets- Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame Quinn couldn't possibly fall lower than 2, and especially not if the Jets are on the clock. Lock it up.
3. Houston Texans- Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State Hard to figure out the Texans. With Domanick Davis' durability a serious question, they could go RB. But they passed on Bush already, so is the management willing to go back and admit they should have taken Bush? I think the reason they passed on him to begin with is that Kubiak has faith in the system that made no-name RBs like Gary, Anderson, Droughns 1,000 yd rushers. But if he has that much faith in the system, then an O-Lineman probably would not be Kubiak's first choice either. They got alot in the way of Defense last year, but they still have some holes. It may be a bit early for Posluszny or Landry, but who knows.
4. Tennessee Titans- Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson Classic example of a DE that is projected to be better in the NFL than college (see Mario Williams). This guy's measurables might even come close to Super Mario's, warrenting consideration for a top pick. Titans don't have much in the way of Defense, so they should take him if he's there.
5. Buffalo Bills- Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin (or Justin Blalock, OT, Texas) Talk about a position of need. The Bills have some holes on Defense a big hole at WR2. But the biggest hole is... well, the entire OLine. Thomas will be a stud if he can stay healthy. If he gets hurt again, Blalock could be the pick.
6. New Orleans Saints- LaRon Landry, DB, LSU Definitly built in the mold of the new stud Safety that NFL teams are now looking for. More Ed Reed than Troy Polamalu, but if Reed can win defensive MVP, then Landry deserves top 5 consideration.
7. Oakland Raiders- Drew Stanton, QB, Michigan State (or Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville*) The Raiders may find out fast and hadr that Aaron Brooks is not going to work as their QB. Al Davis might be a "Andrew Walter guy", but he hasn't shown much on the field so far. If both QBs bomb Raider QBs bomb this year, this pick should be one of these guys. If Brohm comes out, I bet it's him.
8. Green Bay Packers- Michael Bush, RB, Louisville (or Kenny Irons, RB, Auburn) Should be a RB as it's doubfult Ahman Green will ever get back to where he was just 3 years ago. Bush also may have to shake some questions regarding his durability to be worthy of a top 10 pick. He may look like the next T.J. Duckett but he is a superb athelete who excelled at, not RB, but QB in High School.
9. Detroit Lions- Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia The funny thing about Moses is that his name sounds like a Madden-generated name (for those Madden Franchise Mode fans). I was joking with a friend before I had even heard of this guy, several months ago that the most generic Madden-generated name would be Quentin Moss. So close.
10. Minnesota Vikings- Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech* Huge area of need after the inevidible permanent departure of Koren Robinson. Johnson will be the perfect compliment to Troy Williamson. On second thought, the Vikings would probably look to get a OL, or a LB, but hey, I'm a Vikings fan and this would be a very exciting pick.
As for the players not listed here, I found alot of questions as to their worth as a top 10 prospect, among them: Dwayne Jarrett (potential character issues), Jeff Samardzija (speed, acceleration), Tedd Ginn, Steve Braeston (stature, durability), and Brandon Meriweather (stature).
As for the NFL teams that I projected to have these picks, I'll stick my neck out and say the 5 worst teams I listed here clinched a top 10 pick. The Saints and Raiders both have some serious weapons but questionable O Lines and horrible D's. It might be unrealistic to have three NFC North teams in the top 10, but man are they horrible. I certainly can't argue two of them being in th top 10 or maybe even top 5, but it's hard to figure out which 2. Other possible bottom 10 teams include the Browns, Rams, Cardinals and Eagles (hey, one NFC East team should be below .500).
