I've been consistently around 200 pts each week (top 100 this week). BUT, I have no kicker.

Get well soon Mike Nugent!

Only 9 teams left with ADP, Megatron, and Steve Smith combo. I'm the only team left out of those that has Rodgers...

110463

Only 29 teams still alive with Malcolm Kelly! :wall:

Not sure how many more weeks I'm going to last if my studs don't start showing up. When Slaton and Rodgers are the top scores on your team.

All I have to say is thank you Justin Keller for saving my butt. LJ Smith did nothing, but Justin's 16 points put me a few points over the cutoff.

I've been scoring 150 to 200 points every week, so I am pretty happy with my team so far.

Jake Delhomme hasn't come close to matching Warner's production, but I think he will have better days. I like my WR corps a lot, and that is the strength of my team. I went with solid, mid-tier guys rather than high-priced players. If I win money this year, it'll be my WR corps that does it.

My Marion Barber / Thomas Jones combo has been working well so far, but there's a huge dropoff after that with Fred Taylor, Slaton, and Ricky. I need Slayton to become the full-time RB in Houston.

Players that haven't scored for me at all this season:

David Garrard

Ricky Williams

Ben Utecht

only guy not to score for me thus far is Matt Ryan, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but I guess it means I have depth

scores 163.75, 181.25, 161.05

QB Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, Matt Ryan

RB Clinton Portis, Ryan Grant, Ricky Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Steve Slaton

WR Terrell Owens, Jerricho Cotchery, Steve Smith, Jabar Gaffney, James Jones, Dennis Northcutt

TE Kellen Winslow, Jr., Anthony Fasano, Dustin Keller

K Joe Nedney, Jason Hanson, Rian Lindell

D Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills

Looking good so far (160, 181, 171) but my RBs are probably going to kill me eventually. I've got Portis, Parker, MoMo, Ricky, Slaton and Booker. With FWP, Ricky, and MoMo out this week I need Slaton to have another good game. Or for Westy to rest up and Booker to step up.

I feel good about every other position.

QB - Rivers, Ben, Warner

WR - Calvin, Cotchery, Holmes, Desean, Bryant, VJax

TE - Daniels, Boss, Keller

PK - Longwell, KBrown

TD - Steelers, Bucs

But my RBs have me a little nervous.

Ah yes, the good old 5 QB / 4 kicker strategy.Next week's gonna be rocky for you though... If Utecht doesn't play you've got not one, but two guaranteed zeros:

Matt Forte $20 21.60 12.80 25.00

DeAngelo Williams $15 9.50 3.00 5.40

Maurice Morris $11 3.10 0.00 0.00

I've got D Ward and Bradshaw on the pine this week, but somehow I survived with Mendenhall, hopefully he gets going at the right time, but debuting against the Ravens isn't ideal.

Who else has Mendy still in this thing?

one of the keys is having guys who appear to be having or are on the verge of having a career year. I would think at this point Philip Rivers, Brandon Marshall, and Reggie Bush/Michael Turner owners are pretty stoked thus far.

Santana Moss, Marion Barber, and Jason Hansen have been my studs.

The guys who have not scored for me yet:

Matt Ryan

Mo Morris

Steve Breaston

Nate Washington

Lawrence Tynes (didn't know he was hurt)

I eeked in this week with 134.50 and thought I was done. Weeks 1 and 2 I easily made it thru but it looks like Week 4 might be a challenge as well thanks to Willie Parker being out. :lmao:

I'm wondering how many others this will hurt but am guessing quite a few.

It's not like he was going to blow up against Baltimore.

Glad to see that my truly cheap guys have already contributed this year, which is a lot better than what they gave me in last year's contest (though a miracle meager performance by Sinorice Moss did save my bacon once).

5 picks haven't contributed yet: Matt Ryan, Ricky Williams, Bernard Berrian, Phil Dawson, and Detroit. I feel it's pretty good news in that all of them have much more potential to put up a week or two of good usable numbers as compared to a couple of the guys I had last year who I can't even remember they were so bad.

I have a couple of "those guys" this year. Here is a list of the guys who have put up a zero in 2 or more weeks so far:TwiceMaurice StovallMike Nugent Triple crownBrian Leonard Jason Hill Mark Bradley

FWP owners are gonna have it rough over the next few weeks. Seeing that he's already ruled out for week 4, it's highly likely he will sit week 5 as well, then return after PIT's week 6 bye.

You have to feel for the 1 live owner who has Brady, Westbrook, Parker, and Shockey.

A RB doesn't have to blow up to have a decent game. He would certainly have gotten some yards, and if the Steelers get down near the goal line, he could have punched it in.

On top of all the Brady, Parker, Shockey, Colston, etc. owners, I wonder how many will be hurt now by Burress being suspended for week 5...

929 teams still alive with FWP. 16 of those teams have Brady.622 teams still alive with Shockey. 11 of those teams have Brady.

239 teams still alive with Plax. 2 of those teams have Brady.

1418 teams still alive with Colston. 12 of those teams have Brady.

Only 23 teams still alive that have Plax and FWP.

Only 73 teams still alive that have FWP and Shockey.

Only 26 teams still alive that have Plax and Shockey.

Only 25 teams still alive that have Colston and Plax.

Only 146 teams still alive that have Colston and FWP.

In summary:

Only 362 teams took Brady and there are 128 of those still alive. Losing Brady obviously hurt those teams but it didn't really do much for the contest because not that many people bought him.

The Colston injury seems to have the most affected owners at an above average cost ($30).

The FWP injury affects a bunch of teams but his cost was in the middle ($23) so it might not be too bad for those teams.

The Plax ($29) suspension shouldn't affect the contest much because of the small number of teams left that bought him.

The Shockey injury shouldn't be too bad for his owners since he came at a below average cost ($18). It really depends on those teams' depth at TE and if those teams were expecting him to produce in the flex spot.

I didn't say it would hurt more than the loss of Parker. Burress is on bye this week anyway. Just wondering if there were teams out there who thought they were safe by grabbing Burress & Cotchery, Burress & Holt, Burress & Colston, something like that. Suddenly you have one more pricey player off in week 5 than you thought you would...could screw up some plans.Same with moving Cincinnati's bye from week 8 to week 10 or whatever it was. I wonder how many carefully-constructed teams were screwed by that...

Westy, Portis, Slaton and Ricky

money TEBC Keller, Royal and Walker have all contirbuted at a total price of $4

scored 155-163 so far...nothing earth shattering, but I wonder how long we skate around the thin WR corps :goodposting:

Happy so far, but doubt I have the Wr's or luck to make it to the money.

These bye weeks could be the end of me. Randy Moss is the only guy I broke the bank for, and we all know how that has turned out. My TE position is what is going to really hurt me because I have Shockey and Vernon Davis.

Sweet! I bookmarked the page from the first posting, but I didn't realize it was a static page for just that week. Cracked the top 5 baby!
