2009-10 wildcard weekend schedule (1 Viewer)

The NFC features two week 17 rematches. The Cowboys just killed the Eagles at home, and that's where next week's game will be. The Cards rested their starters against the Packers, and GB will again play in ARI next week.

In the AFC, the Ravens will travel to Foxboro to play a Wes Welker-less Pats. The other matchup will be either the NYJ @ Cin or the Texans @ Cin.

Any guesses on the primetime game? The NFC East is always in primetime; are we sick of them or do we see them again? Most of the country saw Dal-Phi today, not sure which way that cuts. GB-Ari seems to have the least star power; not huge markets, not dominant teams. The Pats-Ravens has the usual draw of the Patriots and Ray Lewis. Bengals-Texans wouldn't make sense, but would they want the New York market in that game?

Recently, the Jets made the playoffs in '01 against the Raiders and were the Sat Night game. In '02 the Jets played the Colts and Peyton Manning, but the Sat Night game was Vick and Favre. In '04, the Jets played the Chargers and that game was the primetime game with Manning and Favre playing in the two Sunday slots. In '06, the Jets played the Pats, but that game was put on Sunday as Parcells and the Cowboys and Romo against Seattle was the primetime choice.

My guess is we see DAL-PHI Saturday Night, GB@ARI the late game on Sunday, Jets-Bengals the early game Saturday since the two teams don't need a week to prepare, and NE-Balt the Sunday early game.

I think that either the Jets or Bengals will get the later game based on when they played today, regardless of if it is Jets against Bengals or Texans against Bengals.

Agree that the Eagles Cowboys will probably be the Saturday night game.

Toss up for the other two games.

I don't want the Bengals to get the early Saturday game.

It has to do with playoff tickets and working overtime (at time-and-a-half) on Saturday afternoons. Any of the other three times will be fine, but please, not Saturday afternoon.

That said, I think the Bengals get a Sunday game if they win. Lose, and they play Saturday afternoon against the Jets.

I think CBS gets the late Sunday afternoon game since FOX is promoting their Sunday night premiere hot and heavy. They would not want a game to go over.

My predictions:

If Jets win:

Saturday Afternoon: Jets@Bengals

Saturday Night: GB@Arizona

Sunday Early: Eagles@Dallas

Sunday Late: Balt@NE

If Bengals win:

Saturday Afternoon: GB@Arizona

Saturday Night: Balt@NE

Sunday Early: Eagles@Dallas

Sunday Night: Texans@Bengals

Unfortunately, I don't think Eagles/Cowboys will be the Saturday prime time game. Because of its prime time scheduling, I think FOX is shoehorned into the early Sunday game, and you can't have a 10 AM local time start.

Can't be right. Both NFC games on Saturday? I don't recall that ever being the case on Wildcard Weekend.I guess no one knows anything, yet.

I'm hearing from a reliable source that Patriots-Ravens is Sunday at 1. :blackdot:
Good, I want the Bengals on Saturday. My cousin is getting married then and is a big Bengals along with most of the family in attendance. Shoud be a good lesson to not be a jackass and think of others when planning a wedding.

Is that confirmed? I have never seen where the NFC/AFC had both their game son the same day. This would leave Fox with no Sunday game.

Both NFCs on Saturday? That's never been done before. That would leave Fox with no game Sunday.
Doesnt NBC have the sat games?
Even more reason why that doesn't make sense. Fox would have no wild card games at all.I still stand by my info that Pats-Ravens is Sunday at 1.

One of my biggest pet peeves in life.
I hope he tries to check the score during the wedding and gets divorced

Is that official or just a guess on your part?I'd also still like to know why Chase Stuart wrote the Jets and Bengals don't need a week to prepare.
