9 strong from Felix tonight, we have a little more offense than last year and great starting pitching but really, 2nd in the division would be quite an accomplishment. Getting Felix another Cy Young seems to be the realistic goal on the season, and would make the season a success despite missing the playoffs.

Really excited about Figgins and Smoak this year.

I'm really looking forward to this season. It's great to have young players to look forward to who could actually be really, really good and part of the team getting back to respectability. I can't wait to see Pineda, Ackley, and Smoak play. Go M's. Be entertaining and show promise while you suck and that'll be a big improvement.

And just like that, after taking the series from Oakland, we get put back in our place, almost as if the schedulers are toying with the Mariners.

This season has been awesome. Pineda should be an all star, Smoak has been a ton better than he was last year, and we get to see Ackley tomorrow. The team has been mediocre due to an absolutely dreadful offense, but at least we've had some young guys out there. I still can't believe the FO didn't let Atlanta take Figgins off their hands this offseason
