I think picking Kompany at 1.6 is debatable. Defense is the deepest position, even though he is the best defender on the best defensive team. I traded for him last year; it is nice to have a player who you can start regardless of the matchup.What happens after the draft is more important in this league than most. Transfers, injuries, suspensions and rotation play huge roles and H2H matchups are always a crap shoot. It's a decent enough team, especially on defense. If a hot striker is a late transfer or was overlooked in the draft, you could really be in business.

If Van Persie stays, I like our lineup a lot.
We will be likely giving up points at keeper every week, but if our forwards stay healthy they are going to be a tough group to combat.
Defense is solid but the midfield could go either way as we stacked it with young up and coming talent.
When we had a choice, we deferred to a player from a worse team who was going to get consistent playing time versus having to deal with constant player rotations at the bigger squads. Not sure if that is the right tactic but we will see.

Yeah I was somehwat surprised at how long comparable defenders stayed on the board. Once I looked through the scoring it makes sense, Kompany just seems like a lock for 30+ appearances on what I think will be the best team in the league so I figured what the hell. If I had to do that again I guess I'd take Bale there, he's just such a schmuck though.

The Adebayor situation is scary, for fantasy purposes. Won't get much run at Citeh, but his wage demands are making him tough to move to Spurs permanently. Either he has to relent, he sits the bench, or he gets moved out of the EPL. Song might also leave, if the Barca rumors are to believed.Debuchy is supposedly not coming over this year. But your back line still looks strong.I <3 Walcott.

Get Walcott out of that defensive mid position and out on the wing and you have a formidable team. Not good enough to beat mine, but pretty good.

Read this yesterday and thought Debuchy was all but done. GrrrrrI knew Song was a gamble but at least got him later. Figured I'd have to gamble in each spot (Adebayor at F, Song at MF, and Debuchy at DEF) to give myself a chance. At least there's still a chance Song stays......I hope

There's less risk with Adebayor than with Debuchy and the other spec picks. Adebayor is in the database and is all yours for the entire season regardless of whether he stays with City or joins Spurs in August or January.Read this yesterday and thought Debuchy was all but done. If last season is any guide, there are guys who we completely overlooked who'll turn out to be better than most 2nd and 3rd forwards. I think you have to weight the #1 forwards accordingly which gives a big advantage to the teams that drafted earlier.
