The 2012 FanEx Analysis Draft (FAD) began today.
Hiya.
TC Cannon of YouthFantasyFootball here. Tuesday begans our annual FanEx Analysis Draft (FAD) contect, where respected FF leaders publicly compete to win the contest. The benefit to the hobby is that we display our analysis for the selection. It's a joy to follow this 2+ week effort as we build a 20 man roster.
This year's entries include 12 FanEx members.. Serritella of Draft Bible, Nease of Fantasy Insights, Harmon of FoxSports, Nazarek & Rito of FFMastermind, Cannon of YouthFF, Kellogg, Dolfi, Walls, & Holm of FantasySharks, Allan of FantasyIndex, and others. It will be much fun drafting head-to-head with this polished group.
The benefit to following FanEx FAD is the timely analysis of each selection. In them you will often fine keen insights to the drafters' thinking. If that thinking is successful is another story for another time. Here is a look at last years' 2.10 pick analysis as a sample.

2.10 RB Hillis CLE -- This selection follows a significant profane moment. RB Turner ATL was certainly my 2.10 target. Oh well..
The Browns are a seldom viewed football team and many of us only see RB Hillis via game highlights. The bottom line is that Hillis is a fine, fine football player (13 TDs and the second best RB production last season) and the Browns are a team with many past and future struggles. Hillis is not a rusher that many FF teams will desire as their lead back. While he has one-season-wonder written all over him, he is a positive RB2 starter because he certainly is the poor Browns' best offensive option. I am hoping for a top ten RB finish from Mr. Madden's cover boy. See this linked video of Hillis highlights and wish him continued success. Hillis deserves selection at this slot. 2010 was wonderful for him. Hey, Rito. Wanna trade?
(Switching gears.. How many of you remember the last Brown's RB that was a can't miss Cleveland star-to-be? I do, as I drafted Touchdown Tommy Vardell as a 1992 fantasy rookie. He scored 5 TDs in 40 games. Geeze.)

FAD can be followed at the drafting site - http://www17.myfantasyleague.com/2012/home/34438 and in this forum.
In fact, the better thought out viewer analysis posted herewith be considered for posting direct to the draft reporting page. So if you see something you like or don't like or don't understand, write about. As commissioner, I know how to get your insightful messages shared.
