2013 Free agents (1 Viewer)

You forgot Blount - I think he's better than Greene and Mendenhall which is funny because I was thinking the Cowboys or Jets would make the most sense for Blount. As you said Murray is somewhat fragile and he's been lackluster running the ball despite his good game yesterday against a dead Philly team. I suspect he goes back to his natural fit as a 3rd down back in 2013, making someone like Blount a perfect fit for 1st and 2nd downs. The Jets could keep Powell as the 3rd down back, although Blount has improved in pass protection and catching this year. And as someone else mentioned, he's not technically a free agent, but StL will finally grant SJax his freedom.I like the list, though.
Good call I did forgot Blount, which is sad since I have him handcuffed and stashed on a dynasty team.
Blount?Dudes a cancer, he is ok but will not have much value as he couldnt even start over a rookie, just sayin. A headcase.
FFNinja has been touting him over Doug Martin since the preseason... I think there is a bias he isn't sharing wiith us?

Blount may not be all that, but losing his job to Doug Martin is not exactly something to be ashamed of.

I drank the Blount kool-aid about week 5. I did not think Martin would hold up. Good buy in a dynasty league and only cost me Santana Moss

Jared Cook - Falcons - He wants to go to a team that will use the tight end in the right way, if Gonzo retires he will be the guy there.
The Falcons want a TE that can block. When are we going to give up on this Cook hype? The dude is a "mismatch" who can't block and isn't that great of a WR. He is basically the same guy as Finley, just not as dumb.
I think the Falcons are smart enough to realize that they aren't going to get another Gonzo, they will bring a couple of tight ends a good pass catcher and a good blocker.

Some of these are really out of left field, ARZ isn't going to spend on Deangelo when they have Ryan Williams and Beanie
Here are the stats for those 2 this year.Ryan Williams = 58 carries 164 yards for a nice 2.8ypc 7 catches 44 yards and 2 lost fumbles and 11 missed games this year plus 16 missed last year.Beanie Wells = 61 carries for 146 for another eye popping 2.4 ypc 1 catch for 24 yards and 2 touchdowns and at least 8 missed games this season. Add that up and you get 119 carries for 310 yards 2 touchdowns, 8 catches for 68 yards and 2 fumbles. So basically you can take 4 average games for any back in the league to get what they have done in 12 games. Don't blame the line either because Stephens-Howling had a few decent games for them.Edit: Add Howling stats92 carries for 313 yards 3.4 still horribel but a mile better than the 2 above. 4 touchdowns and 14 catches for 104 yards.
don't blame the line? so what about all the plays when they are hit 4 yards behind the LOS? Can we blame the QB situation at least? The talent is there, the just spent a 2nd rounder on Williams(Ryan) and they need to focus on the O-line rather than keep addressing the same thing that isnt the issue in the first place
You can blame whoever you want but if those 2 are so good why is Howling out playing them both behind the same line and quarterbacks? Because they both suck, they need a running back.

Although I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Ponder just yet there has been some media discussion already on Alex Smith to the Vikings.
I think if Smith has his choice he isn't going to go to a team with another starting quarterback on the team already and have to look over his shoulder every time he throws a pick or if he gets hurt that he will lose his job. Arizona seems to be the fit.

Greg Jennings - MiamiYou got the Joe Philbin/Green Bay connection, and the desperate need for Tannehill to have a go to guy.
I was about to post the same thing.
Question is, will someone pay big money for an injury prone almost 30 year old receiver?
Another question is, does Greg Jennings want to finish his career with a bottomfeeder after spending his whole career with a contender? It's not like he's Laurent Robinson who has to take the best offer he gets. Jennings can pick a better team for what would appear to be less money when in fact it may not be. For instance, Robinson will never see that $35 million, probably only the guaranteed $14 million. Doubtful he is on the team past 2013. Jennings trains with Fitzgerald and is well aware of the QB disaster in ARI that makes Fitz useless. Tannehill while far better than the Ari. QBs, is still a big question mark. Many QB's have done ok in their 1st year only to totally suck the rest of their career.
Good thing about the NFL is that teams can rise up out of no where, signing in a place like Miami doesn't mean he will be on a bottom feeder.

Adding Blount in a dynasty league right now isn't a bad idea, you can get him cheap and by time you have to cut down your rosters it will be August and you will know where he is and if he could help your team. At worst you just cut him and have a free roster spot.

 Ok, first of all, I like his talent. So if that makes me biased then so be it. I'm not heavily (or even moderately) invested in him, but I do see him as an easy buy low this year and likely a cheap pick in redrafts next year. I mainly play redrafts, so I really can't have much built-in bias. In the one long-term league I have him in, I picked him up out of the free agent pool so I didn't even invest any waiver auction dollars. That's my full, honest disclosure, so you can claim bias but there is very little incentive...The "dude's a cancer" statement is about as dumb and ignorant as it gets. Sure, he had some discipline problems prior to this year, but he's been a model citizen in 2012 despite the coach clearly having it out for him. So combine Schiano disliking him with the fact that Schiano loves Doug Martin and it's pretty obvious why Blount never got a fair shot at starting this season. I feel confident that if he finds a place that will at least give him fair competition for the starting job next year that he'll win it.Players get wrongly demoted on depth charts fairly regularly in the NFL. To act like his demotion this year is definitive proof that he's washed up is just short sighted and silly. He proved his talent on a bad team his first two years in the league while exhibiting behavioral problems. If he can continue his good behavior there is no reason he can't succeed in a new environment in 2013.

Heath Miller - Steelers - They love him and he is one of the best overall tight ends in the NFL. They will do what it takes to get him back.Jared Cook - Falcons - He wants to go to a team that will use the tight end in the right way, if Gonzo retires he will be the guy there.Fred Davis - Jets - Keller will move on and the Jets will pay him to take his spotDustin Keller - Bucs - Clark has been decent but he is 33, to compete in the NFC south you need offensive fire power. Keller is a decent blocker and a good pass catcher.Delanie Walker - Seahawks - He would fit perfect there, he is a great blocker for a run first team and you know the Seahawks want to give Wilson more toys in the passing game.
Can't imagine the Skins going into next season with Logan Paulsen as their only option at TE.
