2014 Cakeleeg Draft - Pay up, SoCalBroncoFan (1 Viewer)

If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there is a man on base. — Dave Barry

We'll probably have to institute a clock next week but hoping we don't have to.
I'm fine either way. It seems like every year we stress and get antsy when people take 5 hours to draft without bothering to reply to texts or offer an explanation, but in reality, that's just par for the course. We'll wrap this thing up WAY before the start of the season, many of us watching in horror as closers we drafted lose jobs, get injured or sell drugs to an undercover cop.

The bottom line is this: We're nerds. We like to draft. We love to draft. There's a little Tigerfan in all of us. Waiting for some unresponsive slug to make a pick raises our anxiety and is only made worse when said slug DRAFTS the freaking player you've been eyeballing, researching and counting on as part of your 4th place team. It's like this every year and yet, we get done and done long before 99% of the nerd leagues out there.

Weekends, no clock. Go outside. Play with your kids. Talk to your wife. Have a cocktail.

Buddy, why don't you come talk to my wife. I'd rather sit in silence on the weekends.

Agreed we always get antsy. But our pace this year is way slower than usual. And I'm not concerned about getting done before the season starts, but rather getting this done in 2 weeks so we all don't have to sit here glued to our screen all day.

Late night weekend drafting rules.

OK, looks like we're beating last year's pace by a day through pick 8.11, however, 2 of those days were Sat/Sun.
