2014 Cakeleeg Draft - Pay up, SoCalBroncoFan (1 Viewer)

Ross had an average fastball velocity of 94.0 mph last year. His 2 seamer was 93.9 and his cutter was 93.2. The slider he threw (32.2% of the time) was at 85.8mph, so he had a decent change of speed going. His change was at 86.2, but he only threw it 4.9% of the time...likely because the slider is the same speed with better movement.

For his pitch value, his FBs were -3.2 runs below average and his slider was +20.3 runs above average. Maybe he should throw it more?

His contact rate dropped from 84.9% to 75.3% from '12 to '13. Plus he's in Petco. Hence, nerdlove.

Straight fastball, no change-up. He's all slider but at least that pitch is easy on the elbow.

shuke wants Tyson Ross.

This is a good pick.
A guy who throws the slider 34% of the time with a below average fastball and no third pitch, I'm sure he'll be fine.
From your draft sheet:

"Breakout????"
Didn't notice the question marks there?
Do you often highlight guys you can't stand?
Where did I say I can't stand him? You're confusing Tyson Ross with [icon]

I need to go out for an hour. I texted a pick to Shuke, I'll also send to Pickles

If he's taken, send me a text and I'll re-pick when I land
