League source on
#Jaguars: "With Henne back, I don't expect them to take QB until 2nd round and maybe not until 3rd or 4th round."
This is a bit of interesting info if true. Would shakeup all the mocks where Jacksonville is slated to draft a QB.
I was thinking the same thing, Watkins? Mack? Matthews? (assuming Clowney and Robinson is gone)
I would guess Mack.
But I don't get what the league source is saying. They had nobody to back up whatever rookie QB they draft (before the signing). To me Henne's signing gives them more freedom in the draft.
But it doesn't make them less likely to draft a QB at 3.
It might actually HELP them draft a QB at three(and help STL). Consider this scenario:
Houston goes Bortles at 1.
STL looking to trade back convinces whoever is interested in Clowney to trade up, "You have to get in front of JAX if you want Clowney. They have Henne and aren't a cinch to go QB at 3."
Say ATL trades up to 2 for Clowney and wa, la....Teddy lands in teh Jags lap.
