"There's billions of Chinese out here that don't even care what you do, just go out there and let it rip."

- Greg Schiano recounting a late game pep talk to Tom Savage

I found this amusing.

That's when Savage turned from a Schiano-boy into a Schiano-man

:lmao: Pretty much everyone lied to you kid. Heard he rubbed teams the wrong way in interviews. Sorry guy, teams aren't going to be clamoring over a delusional backup quality QB. Good luck keeping your girl

According to Profootballtalk, "multiple scouts are befuddled" by Alabama QB A.J. McCarron's persistent claims that teams view him as a first-round talent.
McCarron recently said that "pretty much everyone" has told him he has a first-round grade, but that obviously doesn't include PFT's scouts. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Thursday that one team "loves (McCarron) as a possible late first-, early second-rounder," but that's hardly the same thing as "every" team telling him he has a first-round grade. We'd be very surprised if McCarron came off the board before day two. May 1 - 2:31 PM

I like the picks Detroit made. They addressed positions of need, and while they may not be the greatest players, they definitely should help.

I'm not as down on the Ebron pick as others. Giving Stafford another weapon is a good idea, but that defense needs a lot of work

Any word yet on what the Lions received in return for their Round 5 pick just now?

Edit: Looks like they got a 7th round pick out of the deal.

McCarron getting absolutely buried on NFLN. Got to wonder if he's gonna be drafted.

Just no excuse as a mid round QB prospect to not go to the Senior Bowl in his hometown. None. Really have to question if he wants to play in the NFL.

He's busy proposing to his gf who in turn said, 'who the hell are you again"?

Thought for sure Cincy would have drafted the QB with drug issues

I'm sure AJ got a nice little wake up call falling to end of Round 5.

Better than getting a QB I've never heard of from some place like Wyoming like we usually do when we tab a QB this late.

I think they let Dalton play out his option.

I also think that would have no bearing on whether or not they'd draft a new QB next year if they consequently lost Dalton after next season.

Mettenberger?

Really?

ETA: six traded picks in a row now. if the Vikings trade theirs, make that nine

Okay can we sign the Bengals back up for Hard Knocks so we get to see more of the girlfriend?

I think it's going to be whichever team ends up picking up Michael Sam. I get the feeling he's not getting drafted, but assume he's going to sign somewhere.

Antonio Richardson must have some huge red flags that he's still not taken halfway through Round 6. Likely right tackle but potential to play left. Was slated to go Round 2 or 3.

So Carolina up to pick (with glaring holes still at OL and WR) & who do they take.......

RB Tyler Gaffney.

Unquestionably they receive the worst grade in this draft. If could grade lower than F, I would.

Some team will be getting a steal in Yawin Smallwood.
To the falcons. Great pick.
falcons fan here, educate me.
Started every year at UCONN. Best linebacker on UCONNs 2012 team that included Sio Moore (raiders 3rd rounder last year). Tackle machine, who can rush the passer and drop in coverage. I have seen him blow up offensive linemen at the point of attack. He played ILB, but I always though the would be a monster OLB in the 3-4. He pulled up at the combine on his way to a 5.0 40 and wasn't recovered enough to run at pro day. But he is plenty football fast. I suspect questions of speed led to his free fall. Big mistake by teams. Now he is going to play with a chip on his shoulder.

Looks like the below went undrafted:

TN OT Antonio Richardson (has to have major medical issue to go undrafted IMO)

Alabama St RB Isaiah Crowell

Rutgers WR Brandon Coleman

Florida DB Marcus Roberson

FSU LB Christian Jones

LSU DT Anthony Johnson

Jonathan Dowling | FS, Western KentuckyDowling is a long, fluid athlete with impressive movement skills and a chippy demeanor. He's technically raw still and will get overpowered by bigger blockers. A good value in round seven, with upside to be a rotational piece relatively soon, particularly if he can add some bulk.
B+

If the Lions get two of Reynolds, Exum or Roberson they can turn this draft into a great one.
Lawson sucks, thats what I get for holding out hope this sorry front office can put things together.
Very interested to see where Reynolds & Roberson land in the next 24-48 hours.
