Just saw that you can pre-order Paul Sporer's 2014 SP Guide for $18. I remember seeing some stuff about his guide etc on here a while back. Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on the guide, tempted to buy it.

Really enjoyed it last year. It came as a PDF and I could read it on my kindle. Got a business trip the week after it comes out so I'm very tempted.

Sporer puts a ton of work into it and certainly deserves to recoup some money for his efforts. But I'm my father's son and a cheapskate. There's a ton of free baseball content available and only so much worth knowing about Kevin Correia.

$18 seems steep. I paid less than that for a physical copy of Baseball Forecaster and Baseball Prospectus.

rotojunkie fix now. I'm pretty sure Jason Collette still owns it. Looks like still getting regular activity.

On a related note... Are any websites/subscriptions worth a damn? I generally just use Fangraphs and use all those projection systems to get like a composite. Fantasypros.com works well for that as well. The Fangraphs+ for $5 is intriguing but not sure what you really get.

I used to use the razzball war room as my baseline, use my own research and the Sporer pitching guide to supplement. I'm way too cheap...err, frugal, to buy it though. Going to dig and see if I can find something else. In the end, I usually only target a small group of players anyway, so I just need to find about thirty arms I like at value then price point accordingly.

He loved him actually. Think the year before had the delays. Last year it was co-written by someone at BPro so I think it came out on time. No real need to buy it. Just follow him on Twitter. He'll tell you everyone he likes relentlessly there.
