2015 Bold Predictions thread (1 Viewer)

Tebow is a wasted roster spot. Chip will be out of a job in a couple years......Is that a bold prediction?

Romo had an MVP worthy season. I predict him to win it this season. Not very bold......A homer pick? Absolutely.
awesome jab man. It really was. You're not very bright are you.

Not sure why you're arguing in here by yourself. I wasn't dissing the cowboys, but Romo isn't winning MVP. And 2 of 50 votes isn't "really close to winning the mvp", but you can keep defending that.

Again the issue was with you saying things that weren't actually your predictions. We'll see how many come true. *Cue the anti eagles response*

Oof

John Brown has monster season and wins some owners their league titles, only to find out prior to week 17 that Jaron Brown was actually responsible for 20+ catches throughout the year that were originally awarded to John. FF world freaks out as playoff seeds have to be vacated.

I just threw out a few predictions and you proceeded to rip me. If you don't like em, just ignore maybe?? Excuse me for offending your elite football aptitude.....haha. In my experience, this is typical of eagles fans. Just an observation, not a jab. On these internet forums the eagles fans are usually the ones who start the personal attack thing or get belligerent. Again, not a jab, just something I've observed. Something in the water?

And I do think chip Kelly will be looking for a job in a couple of years. I think his inability/refusal to relate with players, and pushing players extremely hard, will eventually wear thin in the NFL. In college this approach worked because he had players for a finite time.......Unless he wins.

You sound like a Cowboy homer with no idea who Chip Kelly is. He is loved by players except the primadonnas who think they deserve everything.

Everything I've heard about chipper is he doesn't get "involved" with players. Not just from bitter ex-eagles players either. This may be overblown, or mean nothing, I don't know. But chips also made some questionable moves in the offseason. chip has set himself up to the hero or the zero. Im not the only one who questions whether chip will be at the eagles helm in the future.......According to deamon, im not that bright, but im bright enough to understand that if he continues to win, none of this matters......If he doesn't, he's prolly shortened his rope.

One thing I will say about Eagles ownership, is that they have had a very short rope with coaches. Oh wait, no, the opposite of that.

a grease fire erupts at a local New England Popeye's chicken which causes the drive through line to backup resulting in RB LeGarrette Blount to be late to his third consecutive team meeting. Bellichick cuts Blount despite him being the AFC's 2nd leading RB through October.
Disagree on what happens, but agree on the results -- Blount messes up (DUI, domestic abuse, fighting with a player/crowd, missing team meetings, etc.), Belichick puts him firmly in the doghouse, James White excels as the NE RB1.

Others:

Jarryd Hayne finishes with more TDs than either Hyde or Bush

Thanks to a weak schedule, what turns out to be a weak division, and Winston clicking with Evans and the rest of the offense, Tampa Bay earns a Wildcard playoff spot.

Jimmy Graham falls out of Top 6 TEs

Bengals go to AFC Championship

Andre Johnson has a 100 catch/1500 yard season

I was only ripping the fact that sometimes these 'bold predictions' threads are people not even predicting it, but just trying to be creative and dramatic with some stat things. It's somewhat irrelevant if you're not actually predicting them, that is what I ripped on as I'm pretty sure you don't actually think many of those will happen.

I haven't found many eagles fans starting the personal attack thing, and I most definitely didn't come after you for being a cowboys fan or make anything about that. Clearly you clicked on my profile, read my favourite team, and immediately went after that. You started it, I didn't do that... I only questioned your 'predictions"

This isn't the place to talk about Chip. If you had a prediction you wanted to make about Chip, you would have posted it originally... not rushed to try to come up with something new and negative about the person's team who questioned your other predictions... was clearly intended as a jab at my team, when I never made a jab at yours. My only reference to the Cowboys was that you said Romo was "very close" to winning MVP, and I argued that 2 votes out of 50 isn't "very close"

He's 20-12 in his first two seasons, and likely in for another 9+ win season. His SB odds (not saying this means much) have gone UP after each offseason, so clearly most people think his moves improved the team overall.

Pretty sure Garrett, BB, or ANY coach would be on a short rope if they had multiple losing seasons in a row, not sure why Chip is any different. Anyways, I fell for the bait, let's discuss this in the Chip thread if we wish to continue.

Lamar Miller reaches 2000 total yds and 12 TDs

Jadeveon Clowney gets double digit sacks

Cleveland starts the season an 'ugly' 5-0 behind Johnny Manziel

Jeremy Maclin AND Kelce catch 10TDs

Ryan Mathews outproduces Murray 1200-12 to 900-9

Eddie Royal has a career year.....1200+ yds for 10+ TDs

Julio Jones grabs 18 TDs

SF's offense explodes as Kaepernick throws for 4000+ yds with 28 TDs while rushing for 9TDs and 600yds......

Carlos Hyde rushes for 1200yds and 10TDs

Broncos as a team are the bust of the year all around except the defense.

D. Thomas has a McCoy like season where he has a few good games, but for the most part he is a middle of the road receiver 2 in fantasy this year.

Peyton continues this year like he finished last year

Sanders reverts back to the Steelers version and goes 60 for 800 and 4

All the running backs are under performing or hurt and none of them hit 700 rush yards

Owen Daniels gets hurt and doesn't play well when he is healthy and Green has a couple of decent games, but is inconsistent and Peyton's play doesn't help.

1. The Atlanta Falcons throw the ball on 75%+ of their offensive plays.

2. Drew Brees and Matt Ryan finish as the top 2 fantasy QB's.

3. Doug Martin is a top 4 RB.

4. Chris Ivory is a top 12 RB.

5. Cameron Artis-Payne ends up with 1,000+ rushing yards (obviously I'm predicting a JStew injury but that probably isn't bold enough).

6. Jordan Matthews and Brandin Cooks are top 6 WR's.

7. Ben Watson finishes with more fantasy points than Jimmy Graham (not an injury related prediction)

8. The Cleveland Browns finish the year 0-16.

9. The St. Louis Rams finish the year 1-15. Their only victory comes over the Browns.

10. The Miami Dolphins beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Superbowl.

For the most part I own the guys I am predicting to do well. A lot of NFC South predictions. It's all schedule related.

-Terrelle Pryor will be a fantasy relevant WR this season.

-Jimmy Graham will finish the season as TE1.

-Ryan Tannehill will have higher points per game than Tom Brady.

-Tyler Lockette will break all of Seattle's return records (over his career)

-Johnny Football becomes Johnny Clipboard.

Ingram is a top 5 rb. Leads the league in td's

Randle is a top 5 rb. Wins the rushing title

D Murray doesn't look the same. He doesn't break 1,000 yards rushing

Bradford is a top 3 qb

Latimer is a top 15 wr

First one is bold the rest are meh.

Tom Brady will play opening night and will throw for 425 yards,5 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Eddie Royal will finish the season as a top 10 fantasy receiver.

DeMarco Murray will have more fantasy points(FFPC scoring) than the top 3 Cowboy running backs combined.

Jameis Winstion AND Marcus Mariota will finish the season as top 10 fantasy quarterbacks.

Justin Tucker will kick a 66 yard field goal on October 26th in Arizona.

Devin Funchess becomes the ROTY.. ( sets 6 records.. )

Panthers go to the Championship game, but lose to DaRaiders

Tom Brady doesn't miss any games due to suspension but is struck by an over-inflated kickoff ball during pregame warm-ups before the opener and is out 4 weeks.

- Texans win AFC South

- NFC South is won by a team with a winning record. Tampa?

- Chiefs lose 4 consecutive games to end season to miss playoffs, including one vs Browns, as fans call for Andy Reid's head.

- Giants start out 3-2, but only win 2 games rest of season, leaving Coughlin also on hot seat. Again.

- Raiders win 6+ games as JDR runs Latavius Murray into ground

- Roethlisberger is leading the league in TD throws before he misses two games in November with concussion issues

- Niners wrap up top draft pick leaving them wondering what to do with Kaepernick

- Seattle takes step back as time and mileage catch up with BeastMode.

- Arizona wins NFC West but fantasy owners are frustrated with Ellington-Johnson split

- Sam Bradford starts all 16 games to lead Eagles to division. The last night of the regular season he slips on ice on the way to his car and breaks hip. Sanchez intercepted 3 times in playoffs and Tebow fumbles as Eagles are eliminated.

- Nick Foles gets benched for Case Keenum

- Jets and Bills combine for 8 different starting QB.

Preseason injury special:

-Spiller has 100 receptions, finishes top 12 at his position in all formats

-Michael Floyd leads Arizona in yards (not that bold, but you'd think the guy was on the PUP the way he's being drafted)

Anti-hype train:

-Cooks finishes below his ADP (WR11)

-Abdullah finishes below his ADP (RB20)

(measured by points per game)

Jacksonville is the surprise team of the year. Lots of talent that comes together at wr, qb, rb and te, and Gus Bradley's defense shows up big time.

T-Mobile rushes for 1000 yards and is a weekly must start at QB.

8 teams will be led in rushing by a rookie.

Vernon Davis is the 2nd TE only to Gronk for fantasy.

Doug Martin returns to being a fantasy elite running back. Top 5

Sam Bradford plays all 16 games and finishes as a top 3 fantasy QB. (As an Eagle fan, this may be more wishful thinking than anything else)

Martavus Bryant finishes as a top ten WR, despite missing four games. Also, I'll learn to spell his first name by week 9.

Arian Foster takes a bit longer than his owners are hoping to come back (week 7), but goes on a tear, averaging over 100 yards per game the rest of the way.

Matt Jones takes over as the Redskins lead back and his combined rushing and receiving skills have fans thinking of a poor man's Preist Holmes. And a top ten overall pick next year.

Ty Montgomery ends up being the non-Cobb receiver to have in Green Bay. Not Adams, Janus, or Jones.

I'll pick 3

Jordan Reed finishes as top 3 TE

Sam Bradford finishes as top 3 QB

Duke Johnson finishes at top 12 RB

Didn't know there was this thread but I'll repost mine

Peyton Manning throws under 30 TD's

AP sets the rushing record for a single season

Bradford gets MVP of the league

The 2 teams with the most frustrating SB history will meet there. Buffalo beats Minnesota in SB 50.

Gronk - 1600 yards 18 TD's

SEA - misses playoffs (9-7)

Drew Brees - final season in New Orleans

2015 Rushing Champion - Chris Ivory

+1

I also think the Raiders will resemble a professional football team. They won't contend for the WC like JAX but I could see them being less of an embarrassment.

Lions fans would disagree. It's (at least arguably) more frustrating to have good teams but never make it to the big game.

Despite losing Kelvin Benjamin, Cam Newton returns to the fantasy QB elite, finishing as a top-5 QB thanks to 10 rushing TD's.

Teddy Bridgewater takes a Ryan-esq leap in his development and is a solid QB1, finishing just outside the top-5.

Le'Veon Bell wins the rushing title despite missing the first 2 games.

Despite being an unpopular top pick in fantasy drafts, Matt Forte is the #1 fantasy RB this year.

Eddie Lacy leads the NFL in TD's this season, no shock there, 2nd place though, is Chris Ivory.

Arian Foster is this year's Josh Gordon, and sinks a lot of teams who are counting on him to save their season when he comes back.

Randall Cobb explodes, and is the #1 fantasy WR, leading the NFL in both catches and receiving yards.

Being wrongly left for dead(of sorts) Brandon Marshall blows up in Chan Gailey's spread offense, and is a top-5 WR.

Despite being an elite WR most of his career, Andre Johnson has usually disappointed in the TD department. A whole lot of debates about his career happen, after Andre leads the NFL in TD catches.

The Eagles miss Jeremy Maclin more than he misses them. Maclin is a top-10 WR for the 2nd straight year.

John Brown is this year's T.Y. Hilton, and sneaks into the top-10 WR's, as Carson Palmer stays healthy for 16 games.

Gronk tops 1,000 yards, the only other TE to do it, is Martellus Bennett.

Jeremy Hill, AJ Green, and Tyler Eifert all stay healthy, and the Bengals are the surprise team of the year and win the Super Bowl.
