He's a pretty big name and was only granted free agency 24 hours ago. Should be listed soon and what's the alternative? I lose him and someone else gets him later after a system update? I don't remember anyone ever being denied a selection in the past.

Sounds good. But why do they need a placeholder? Just leave an empty bench spot until that player becomes available.

I guess it will just get confusing if people start drafting players who aren't expected to get called up until later, and we need to keep track of who is allowed to put in waivers for those players when they become available. I sure as hell am not tracking that.
