yes you did. <_<I did not watch tonights game. Sounds like I saved myself a rough one.
the Panthers' marketing folks decided this would be a good night to give out plastic rats to first 10,000 fans to commemorate the 20th anniversary season of the Scott Mellanby-induced tradition of throwing rats on the ice after goals during their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1996.
Panthers penalized for fans throwing rats onto the ice during game against Devils.
Because of the wasted time spent by clean-up crews after the '96 season the league instituted the Rat Rule, which calls for a delay-of-game penalty on the hometown fans. Despite several warnings from the PA announcer following Huberdeau's first goal, the rats rained down again after his second red-light special.
Bottoming out at the right time. Might be a short stay in the tournament this year. This would be a terrible loss for the Rangers.
A quick exit would definitely be better than another deep, but ultimately Cup-less, run. All it will do is mask the real problems and get management thinking that another tweak or two is all we need.Bottoming out at the right time. Might be a short stay in the tournament this year.
The King doesn't have too many years left at his peak....A quick exit would definitely be better than another deep, but ultimately Cup-less, run. All it will do is mask the real problems and get management thinking that another tweak or two is all we need.
I'm not talking a rebuild, but this team isn't going to be a Cup favorite again by adding a couple of complementary pieces. And that's really all that could happen if they bring everyone back. The King doesn't have too many years left at his peak....
Typical Philadelphia fan, talking #### waaaaaaaaay before his team is even near a championship. You've had one in the last 35 years right? Phillies that one forgettable year?
Sorry ####er, setting yourself up for yet another disappointment. Make it happen sports Gods, deliver anotehr ##### slap to this ####### moron Philadelphia fan.![]()
Aren't they out of draft picks for like 5 years? How would they go about doing that?I'm not talking a rebuild, but this team isn't going to be a Cup favorite again by adding a couple of complementary pieces. And that's really all that could happen if they bring everyone back.
Just getting rid of Staal and Giradi make them better.Capella said:Aren't they out of draft picks for like 5 years? How would they go about doing that?
Have their own 1st for 17 and beyond I believe.Capella said:Aren't they out of draft picks for like 5 years? How would they go about doing that?
Based on the way the Flyers are playing I think the Wings only shot is to stay ahead of Boston.News of Pavel Datsyuk wanting to return to Russia to finish out his career aren't all that surprising.
Wings need three points Wednesday vs Phila, and Thursday at Boston and have the win be a two point game. If Boston gets a point or better at Chicago tomorrow that drastically reduces the Wings chances because Boston plays their final three at home, vs the Wings, Sens, and Canes. That seems like four points for sure.
Flyers seem to be peaking at the right time, I think they are gonna get in. The Islanders have a rough schedule to finish the season but I see them only needing four points in five games to get in. It's gonna be tough, seems to me if I had to bet on which team is left out it's the Wings. Maybe one miracle push left for Pavel and the playoff streak? Six points gets them in for sure.
It certainly seems that way, especially with the recent injuries in Tampa (who I felt was the best team in the Atlantic) and Pittsburgh's terrific play of late. Not sure if who is in will be settled by then but last game of the year between Isles and Flyers could be the difference between WC1 and WC2. Could make for an interesting story line b/c getting out of the Metro division seems ideal this year, especially given how nasty the series will be.
This just feels like slow death.Yeah, Pens have been impressive today. Flyers not so much
They should give him the 3rd period off. This is not even a contest.Pull Mason please.
Yeah, would have liked them to dress Emery and get him some game experience. Either guy is going to need to play some minutes in the upcoming B2BThey should give him the 3rd period off. This is not even a contest.
Some kind of reverse jinx here??It's so frustrating because they don't even do anything extracurricular after the play like the old days. They're so disciplined.
Can't see how the Pens don't win the cup even with the MAF injury.
I guess I never realized Simmonds was such a dirty player. Thought he was just tough, gritty. There we go. Wayne O.
Are you seriously whining after winning 6-2 AND nearly killing one of our guys into the boards with no call?I guess I never realized Simmonds was such a dirty player. Thought he was just tough, gritty.
it's a really weird thing with Simmer and opposing fan bases. I don't want to throw around the race card, but check the comment sections in Penguins fan sites, and they for some odd reason like to fixate on Simmonds and the fact that he is black. just a really strange thing that really seems to not go away with hockey fans in some cities, Boston being one of the worstAre you seriously whining after winning 6-2 AND nearly killing one of our guys into the boards with no call?
Pens fans. Truly one of a kind.
I enjoyed the dirtbag Kris with a K cross checking Cousins three times, the last one to his neck. Are you seriously whining after winning 6-2 AND nearly killing one of our guys into the boards with no call?

I wasn't mad about it all game cause we were just getting dominated but the McDonald hit was ridiculous. I was surprised how disciplined the Flyers stayed after that.I enjoyed the dirtbag Kris with a K cross checking Cousins three times, the last one to his neck.
Missed it; I only caught the 3rd period and Simmonds crack Murray in the face (neck?) with his stick as he skated by. Again, I've always liked Simmonds but that was dirty. Maybe it was retaliation for something I didn't see earlier in the game??? Could be.I enjoyed the dirtbag Kris with a K cross checking Cousins three times, the last one to his neck.
You haven't been following the Bruins much this season, huh? I'll take the under.News of Pavel Datsyuk wanting to return to Russia to finish out his career aren't all that surprising.
