***2015 NHL Reg Season*** Gostibehere best prospect ever (3 Viewers)

I did not watch tonights game. Sounds like I saved myself a rough one. Looking like pitt will have home advantage. What a weird year with the ups and downs

Panther penalized twice for "Rat Rule"

the Panthers' marketing folks decided this would be a good night to give out plastic rats to first 10,000 fans to commemorate the 20th anniversary season of the Scott Mellanby-induced tradition of throwing rats on the ice after goals during their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1996.

Panthers penalized for fans throwing rats onto the ice during game against Devils.

Because of the wasted time spent by clean-up crews after the '96 season the league instituted the Rat Rule, which calls for a delay-of-game penalty on the hometown fans. Despite several warnings from the PA announcer following Huberdeau's first goal, the rats rained down again after his second red-light special.

Bottoming out at the right time. Might be a short stay in the tournament this year.
A quick exit would definitely be better than another deep, but ultimately Cup-less, run. All it will do is mask the real problems and get management thinking that another tweak or two is all we need.

I'm not talking a rebuild, but this team isn't going to be a Cup favorite again by adding a couple of complementary pieces. And that's really all that could happen if they bring everyone back.

Typical Philadelphia fan, talking #### waaaaaaaaay before his team is even near a championship.  You've had one in the last 35 years right?  Phillies that one forgettable year?

Sorry ####er, setting yourself up for yet another disappointment.  Make it happen sports Gods, deliver anotehr ##### slap to this ####### moron Philadelphia fan.

As the season winds down I have to request that someone else besides Chet start the 2016 NHL thread. Your heart was in the right place but your lack of attention in updating the thread title is inexcusable imo.

Aren't they out of draft picks for like 5 years? How would they go about doing that?

Have their own 1st for 17 and beyond I believe.

If it costs the 2017 1st or any non-Buchenivich or Skjei assets to get someone to take Girardi, so be it.

BREAKING: #tblightning Stamkos out 1-3 months with a blood clot in right arm, same issue Vasilevskiy had, Yzerman says

Ouch. Hello Jonathon Drouin.

Sucks for Tampa, Stamkos and Capella. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Bolts lost Bishop before 2014 playoffs. Tyler died and then Bish in the 2015 finals and now this. Good times.

Lolz at the rangers. I think they dont want to make the playoffs. One and done for sure if they actually get in.

News of Pavel Datsyuk wanting to return to Russia to finish out his career aren't all that surprising.

Wings need three points Wednesday vs Phila, and Thursday at Boston and have the win be a two point game.  If Boston gets a point or better at Chicago tomorrow that drastically reduces the Wings chances because Boston plays their final three at home, vs the Wings, Sens, and Canes.  That seems like four points for sure.

Flyers seem to be peaking at the right time, I think they are gonna get in.  The Islanders have a rough schedule to finish the season but I see them only needing four points in five games to get in.  It's gonna be tough, seems to me if I had to bet on which team is left out it's the Wings.  Maybe one miracle push left for Pavel and the playoff streak?  Six points gets them in for sure.

Based on the way the Flyers are playing I think the Wings only shot is to stay ahead of Boston.

Not sure if who is in will be settled by then but last game of the year between Isles and Flyers could be the difference between WC1 and WC2.  Could make for an interesting story line b/c getting out of the Metro division seems ideal this year, especially given how nasty the series will be.

It certainly seems that way, especially with the recent injuries in Tampa (who I felt was the best team in the Atlantic) and Pittsburgh's terrific play of late.

Psa: My cable provider gives mlb ticket for free for a week. For some reason, I get nhl ticket as well. Check your channels, you may get the same.

Watching flyers-pens now

It's so frustrating because they don't even do anything extracurricular after the play like the old days. They're so disciplined.

Can't see how the Pens don't win the cup even with the MAF injury.

Flyers look tired. Was hoping they would give Laughton or Weal a start in one of these B2B . They really didn't play well yesterday vs Sens but Mason kept them in the game.

Every entry to the zone is contested. Pittsburgh defense is swarming. They played yesterday too and they don't look the least bit tired.  We have about 2 or 3 real scoring chances all game. Just domination.

I guess I never realized Simmonds was such a dirty player.  Thought he was just tough, gritty.
Are you seriously whining after winning 6-2 AND nearly killing one of our guys into the boards with no call?

Pens fans. Truly one of a kind.

it's a really weird thing with Simmer and opposing fan bases. I don't want to throw around the race card, but check the comment sections in Penguins fan sites, and they for some odd reason like to fixate on Simmonds and the fact that he is black. just a really strange thing that really seems to not go away with hockey fans in some cities, Boston being one of the worst

I enjoyed the dirtbag Kris with a K cross checking Cousins three times, the last one to his neck.

I wasn't mad about it all game cause we were just getting dominated but the McDonald hit was ridiculous. I was surprised how disciplined the Flyers stayed after that.

Old Flyers hockey would have resulted in multiple misconducts and at least 3 fights. I actually appreciate the level head from Hakstol because no one gets suspended for this final week and no one gets injured. We can pay back the Pens on Saturday but just beating them.

Missed it; I only caught the 3rd period and Simmonds crack Murray in the face (neck?) with his stick as he skated by.  Again, I've always liked Simmonds but that was dirty.  Maybe it was retaliation for something I didn't see earlier in the game???  Could be.

Anyway, in the spirit of being the Pen's fan you want me to be, I present for you the Flyer's favorite band.

really hoping the Avs make Duchene available this offseason.  after the rumors earlier in the year and now Roy tearing into him, it has to be a good possibility.

speaking of Roy, giving him the VP of Operations title is sure turning into a disaster.  guy is unfireable and running that franchise into the ground despite lots of good pieces to build off of.  a good example of why you keep that decision making process separate.

Duchene's celebration last night was over the top. Not that I'd trade him for that or anything, but pretty weird to celebrate scoring 30 goals (seriously... 30!) in a season when you're getting crushed.

Reading Roy complain about it before seeing the "celly" I was expecting to see a Yakupov ice-length knee slide. Yea it wasn't warranted but it wasn't that ridiculous.

You haven't been following the Bruins much this season, huh? I'll take the under.

Rangers clinch a spot finally.

Unfortunately McDonagh took a shot off the wrist/hand which didn't look very good.
