This set of polls is for rookie picks prior to the NFL draft. There will also be a set of polls for after the NFL draft. As always - please feel free to add any comments on why you selected a player at this slot and to suggest players who you think have been overlooked (or if you voted other, then please feel free to add a post on who you voted for).

The purpose for these polls is to attempt to roughly gauge the perceived values of the rookie players without knowing the context of their draft position and team that they are drafted by. The polls that take place after the NFL Draft obviously will factor in situation as well as talent, and of course the knowledge of what NFL Draft round and team each player has landed on.

Debate is very welcome as we all want to know not only which players are specifically ranked ahead of others but also why. This also bumps the thread so that more people will see the poll and hopefully participate by voting.

I will try to stay on top of these and keep the polls moving. The more votes the better. I prefer to not close any poll until there are at least 100 votes and I might leave a poll open longer if the vote is very close between prospects.

So continuing the conversation from the previous thread.

I voted for Sammie Coates in the standard poll because I think he has more upside to become a top 12 WR than Jaelen Strong does, because of his long ball ability possibly leading to more TDs.

In the PPR poll I voted for Jaelen Strong because the TD potential does not matter as much in that format, while consistent receptions do.

After 33 votes there is a pretty wide dispersal of players being considered at this point of the draft in standard leagues.

5 votes for Coleman and Abdullah.

4 votes for Strong and Yeldon.

3 votes for Coates and Winston.

2 votes for Mariota and Dont play.

5 abstain.

In PPR Jaelen Strong has 8 votes leading Abdullah who has 5 and Coleman who has 4.

In the 2QB poll DGB has a 2 vote lead on Jay Ayaji who have both already gone in the other two polls.

At 49 votes there has been a lot of support for Ameer Abdullah in both the standard and the PPR poll where he currently has 24% and 22% of the vote.

DGB is the favorite over Jay Ayaji in the 2QB poll leading 13 votes to 7

At 61 votes now there seems to be no clear favorite in the standard poll. Currently Ameer Abdullah is leading with 12 (24.5%)of the vote. Followed by Tevin Coleman who has 9 (18.4%) Sammie Coates, Jaelen Strong and TJ Yeldon each have 5 votes (10.2%) Winston 4 Mariotta 3 Duke Johnson 2

In the PPR poll Abdullah and Strong are tied with 11 votes each. Followed by Coates who has 7.

In the 2QB Poll DGB leads Jay Ayaji 15 votes to 10.

At 75 votes now Ameer Abdullah leads the vote in the standard poll with 16 votes (26.7%) the next highest is 10 votes for Tevin Coleman.

In the PPR poll Jaelen Strong is neck and neck with Abdullah with 14 and 13 votes respectively. Hoping for more separation than that before calling a winner of this poll.

I voted other in standard- David Johnson. I think he has a better chance to develop as a 3 down back than Ameer (who I like better in PPR). Johnson looks like Zeus and can move

I will add David Johnson to the next poll once we can get some resolution to this one.

Right now in the PPR poll Jaelen Strong and Ameer Abdullah are tied with 15 votes each. I am hoping to not need to do a run off poll.
