I'd be surprised if either are available. Francona is putting trust in his ace and played every card game 1 knowing he'd have a full deck again game 3. If Kluber isn't healthy this team isn't winning anything anyway, Tito really has no choice but to trust him.Klubot could go 7 easily if he's on. With the off day Saturday, you could run Miller out there again for 2/3 - 1 inning and Allen.
Depends...I can easily see Miller coming in to simply face Papi late in the game if they have the lead. If there is a save situation in the 9th and Klubs is out, I can see him running out Otero over Allen.I'd be surprised if either are available. Good point, hadn't thought about him coming in for only Papi.Depends...I can easily see Miller coming in to simply face Papi late in the game if they have the lead. If there is a save situation in the 9th and Klubs is out, I can see him running out Otero over Allen.
that game is going to be awesomeGood game here, beats the poop show we saw in game one.
I'm going to Kershaw-Scherzer tomorrow, then to the GREAT WHITE NORTH for ten days. You honkies take care of this thread, you hear?
http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/red_sox/2016/10/rick_porcello_red_sox_lose_game_1_to_indiansWillis added, “I don’t think it was bad by any means, just the times it happened, they seemed to be ready for it.”
It was like the Indians knew what was coming.
Did they?
At some point during the night, the Red Sox switched up their signs, catcher Sandy Leon later told the Herald.
“His signs are unique to begin with, so we talked about mixing it up,” Willis explained. “Just looking for any advantage we can get or to give them something more to think about, if you will.”
Asked if there was any concern that the Indians had figured out Porcello’s signs, Willis smiled and said, “Yeah, you never know.
Wouldn't even surprise me to see Miller go an inning. But, definitely use him against Ortiz if the situation requires it.Depends...I can easily see Miller coming in to simply face Papi late in the game if they have the lead. Yeah, it can't be that he got beat around like a piñata; it has to the Indians stealing signs.Red Sox starting the morning off insinuating that the Tribe stole Porcello's signs, and that's the reason for his poor start to the series with the 3 HRs in one inning...

Tom, not sure if you realize but Willis isn't a fan, he's the pitching coach. And Sandy Leon is the catcherYeah, it can't be that he got beat around like a piñata; it has to the Indians stealing signs.![]()
You can count on BoSux fans to bring the whining when things don't go their way.![]()

Thought the same but it was a good call..it was not even close.Yeah, I didn't think so at first look, but he did.
Former Indians pitching coach to boot.Tom, not sure if you realize but Willis isn't a fan, he's the pitching coach. And Sandy Leon is the catcher
Nope. Roark Game 2, Gonzalez Game 3. I don't get it and as far as I can tell neither does anyone else on Nats twitter.Nats NLDS Roster
I'm pretty surprised they went with a 7 man bullpen and an extra bat. Two of the four starters are likely to be out of the game after 5 innings- Joe Ross is still building up after missing a long stretch and hasn't gone past 4 innings yet, and Gio Gonzalez is Gio Gonzalez.
Based on this I wouldn't be surprised if they're planning to have Gio start Game 2 so there's two days between his start and Ross's possible Game 4 start.
Kluber says he is 100%.I'm hoping Klubot is completely healthbot, should be HUGE if so.
I guess the Sox didn't notice that Ricky was up in the zone the first time through the order. He still was the second time through and the Indians took advantage. This just in, sinker ball pitchers whose pitches aren't sinking get hit. Hard.Red Sox starting the morning off insinuating that the Tribe stole Porcello's signs, and that's the reason for his poor start to the series with the 3 HRs in one inning...

I don't believe any of the HRs were off the sinker.I guess the Sox didn't notice that Ricky was up in the zone the first time through the order. He still was the second time through and the Indians took advantage. This just in, sinker ball pitchers whose pitches aren't sinking get hit. Hard.
Yes, I was referring to fan rumblings, but the pitching coach and the catcher going there is just as funny.Former Indians pitching coach to boot.
Tom might be saying there were fan rumblings in Twitter last night, I have heard that too.
Verlander and Salty ran thru multiple signs with no runners on base in their last outing at Prog.
Basically sounds like Willis trying to keep his potential Cy's chin up after getting pounded.
No, but he was up in the zone a lot last night.I don't believe any of the HRs were off the sinker.
No days off in between Games 3 and 4 though, and he's starting the two guys you can't reasonably expect to make it past 5 innings in those games. With so many days off, it doesn't bother me if Dusty wants to run lean in the pen. We need bad Kershaw though. Extra innings tonight could be a killer.
From the twitter of Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald:Everyone should be held to their fan base's twitter reactions. This is well established.
Notice how the FIRST thing he went to was the Indians stealing signs. It couldn't possibly be that the 94-win Indians played a better game.RIck Porcello hasn't had bad command all year. Were the Indians stealing signs? Was he too amped? Confusion lingers:

Sounds like you should take this up with Jason Mastrodonato. Probably toolbag Shaugnessy, or whatever his name is, too if he's leading the parade.HOT TAKE ALERT!
Couldn't possibly have been leaving change ups up and over the plate, swinging at balls in the dirt, or running into an out at home from first on a ball that didn't get past an outfielder. Good Christ.
Shaughnessy is a toolbag but he is almost never a pom-pom waiver...he is more likely to kill the home team than to praise themSounds like you should take this up with Jason Mastrodonato. Probably toolbag Shaugnessy, or whatever his name is, too if he's leading the parade.
You might be a little overly sensitive here. As bobcat? noted, pitching coach is just putting an excuse out there to deflect from his pitcher (should he have said Porcello sucked instead?). Who cares what Jason Mastrawhtever says... I read a bunch of stuff about the game / forums, and this is the only place I read about this sign stealing thing. It is not widespread or rampant. Everything I read says key Sox hitters came up small (Bogaerts / Bradley Jr / Betts in particular looking lost), Porcello came up small, Tito played it like a Game 7 World Series and put his foot on the Sox' throat, and generally the Indians did the 'small things' (extra bases, relays, etc) better than the Sox.From the twitter of Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald:
