TobiasFunke said:This logic makes zero sense. If a Kershaw start equals a guaranteed win then they only have to win one game more at Wrigley. If he's not (spoiler alert- he's not) than the Dodgers might well have needed to win twice at Wrigley without Kershaw if he'd pitched and lost last night. Can't have it both ways. However you slice it they needed two wins in three games to advance and Kershaw can only start once, it doesn't matter which game he starts.
Won't be Sheen. Adams would be cool. I also think Hamilton would be a classy move.Ugh, not Charlie Sheen.
I saw a tweet that said the first pitch throwers have already been lined up and supposedly Tribe fans will love them. I'm suspecting a lot of 90s-era players. I would love it if John Adams got one of those slots.
Jim Brown, jack Jack black mcdowell.. Sandy alomar, manny, lofton.. drew carey.. LeBron if he's not playing would all be coolBobcat10 said:Won't be Sheen. Adams would be cool. I also think Hamilton would be a classy move.

According to Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic, Kyle Schwarber could serve as the Cubs' designated hitter should they advance to the World Series.
Schwarber will begin playing in the Arizona Fall League on Saturday. If he proves his health over the next couple of days there and the Cubs advance past the Dodgers, there's a very real possibility that Schwarber (who is the club's all-time leader in postseason home runs with five) could return.
Salazar may start a World Series game.Bobcat10 said:But man, so many questions about this roster and what to do. The pitching is tough to navigate without knowing Bauer and Salazar health. Crockett could sneak onto the squad if we meet the Dodgers. Santana/Napoli dance in games 3-5. Can't imagine they keep carrying 3 catchers when Santana can be emergency catcher.
So, ya, what I said. Might become more clear tomorrow if we get some info on the sessions today. I'm not very confident in Bauer, have heard it will still be tough to keep that hand fountain closed.
Outside of the Arrieta HR off MadBum, they've pretty much been silenced by LHP this post season. Oh! And here's Kershaw and HillCub fans have to be ####ting bricks right now. Hoping for them it ends tonight.
It seems to be over. Kershaw can't find his curve. At this point, the only thing left to hope for is a soul-crushing defeat for the Cubbies. Unlikely though.Well folks it was a run
You prefer flashy pitchers? Pitchers with goofy windups? Over the top arrogance?Kershaw totally looks human. That Cubs pitcher bugs me for some reason.

Smoltz is crazy. No way should he take Hendricks out if he keeps having 10-pitch innings.
I think because he's throwing mainly junk. I like pitchers that rip it in there high 90's. Hey, but this guy is being super effective so more power to him. No real hate. You prefer flashy pitchers? Pitchers with goofy windups? Over the top arrogance?
Can't figure out what's not to like about an unflashy guy who does his job well.
Dear god
In fairness, that was an inning and a half ago. He probably figured the Dodgers would do something by now.Smoltz is crazy.
He mentioned it later too.In fairness, that was an inning and a half ago. He probably figured the Dodgers would do something by now.
Gildo's a god dammed Rhodes Scholar compared to this ########tj making gildo seem like an intelligent poster
I'd call it 'stuff' more than junk, but I get it. I'm a royals fan, nothing like Herrera for an inning or two.I think because he's throwing mainly junk. I like pitchers that rip it in there high 90's. Hey, but this guy is being super effective so more power to him. No real hate.
I've always liked the pitchers who have done more with less.I'd call it 'stuff' more than junk, but I get it. I'm a royals fan, nothing like Herrera for an inning or two.
I appreciate them both.I've always liked the pitchers who have done more with less.
