There are a number of player threads on this board discussing this year's (2015) rookies. Each has their owners touting them as the best in class going into next year. I thought it would be interesting to take a quick poll to see which of this years rookies people will target first next year in redrafts as second year players. Below are the top two rookies for each position in 2015, all ROY candidates. The question now is, who will have the better seasons NEXT season?

Only the QBs are close. It's possible that Johnson Scores more than Gurley but he's not more talented.

Definitely wouldn't be a surprise if Johnson outscored Gurley. That all depends on whether or not he gets the starting gig.

Not sure how the Diggs/Cooper selection even came to mind. Nobody in their right mind is taking Diggs.
wasn't he the 2nd best rookie WR?

the better question would probably be for #2 between Diggs/Parker/Agholor/Perriman/Funchess/Lockett/Smelter

That's how I see it. I went Gurley because he has the clearer opportunity for more touches. Johnson still has to contend with CJ2K and Ellington for touches next year.

Johnson - Like him a little more based on the system. Gurley is going to fall into that one man against the world offense.

Winston - He will keep improving. I like his potential and durability

Cooper - Faded at the end of the year but has better potential than Diggs. I am still wondering what happened to the Raiders in the stretch.

Could add Benjamin to that list assuming the Panthers are going to be riding a hot streak for a number of years with the core pieces they have.

Gurley over Johnson; while I like Johnson, Gurley was marked as the "best RB since AP," and put up very solid numbers on a poor Rams team. If they can improve, his numbers should improve, and if they continue to be bad, his numbers should be at least what he did this year.

Winston over Mariota; the uncertainty in Tenn is the deciding factor, although I like them both.

Cooper over Diggs, although I like Parker over Diggs as well.

Does that mean it will be the result? He will be the best RB since AP because someone says so? Why didnt people say Beckham will be the best WR since Jerry Rice when he came out in the draft? Answer: Because people who predict this stuff are often wrong, so being marked by someone doesnt hold any water to me.

That being said, you can see Gurley is a great RB and think he will be that for years to come, but I also like Johnson. Johnson is an all around back with worlds of talent and played like he could be the next AP just like Gurley did.

I'm taking Johnson here based on the offense, talent, coaching and team around him. All things considered, how can someone take Gurley who also had a very bad injury before his career started? Answer: Because someone called him the next AP.

Year 3 may be different, but based of year 2, DJ.

I'd take KB over all of the rest (except Cooper) but he wasn't a rookie this year.

I expected the QBs to be this close and Cooper in a rout, but it's interesting to see that, as much as I like (and own) DJohnson, that he received as many votes as he did. Didn't think he would get quite as many.

Give me DJ, thought he was better cause of Gurleys injury pre draft. DJ is an all around rb threat, that Gurley will not be able to match. Gurley is good but I would not compare him to AP's level.
