2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (3 Viewers)

Fun Fact: In the neighborhood I grew up in almost all the streets were named after colleges.  Auburn Street was 4 houses away.

Me too.  All of them but mine.  Villanova, Centenary, Marquette, Colgate, Sothwestern......and mine.  Wentwood.  The frock is that?

FML I have a patient who was on hospice and a big Wisconsin fan who was hoping to live long enough to see them in the playoffs.  Well, he passed last night peacefully with his family at his side.  Will miss the conversations and #### we gave each other about our teams.   So if you don't have anyone to pull for in the Wisky/Ohio game, drink a cold one and root along with me and Art tonight.    GB
I need no reason to root against OSU; now I have a reason for Wisconsin.

:raises glass: FOR YOU, ART!!

My other cross street was Oswell.  It was around way before they put in the college named streets.

Best thing about Oswell is that it was named for some olde tyme police officer...named OSWALD.  Somebody misspelled it on a govt map and it stuck.

That defense is legit.  I don't know how long they can keep Mike Houston there but that dude is good.
He's really good and I'm like you - someone's gonna snatch him up soon. It's fun being here now, though.

JMU's a big school (20k-some undergrads, I think, which is way more than some "majors" have). But, if you can take some Tidewater, Richmond, and Valley guys that slip through the cracks (VaTech is by far their biggest obstacle) you can build a mini-dynasty like Houston has done

But we should definitely trust them with single-payer health care, amirite?

:excited:

Side note:  Those medical tents on the sideline were invented and trademarked by the U of Alabama.

What doctrine were they trademarked under? That's odd. A design trademark, maybe.

You can't copyright a fact, you can't trademark a location for a tent, really.

I hope they put UCF in just to have Frost in the awkward situation of not being able to coach
I've heard from the Nebraska side that they'd be OK with him coaching UCF's bowl game if UCF wants him to do so. From Nebraska's perspective I'm sure they'd love all of the talk about Frost and Nebraska that would happen during that game.

He can just tell them he's going to do that if he wants to. He has all the power here.

From twitter, it sounds like Frost and staff will be coaching UCF's bowl game. I like that move, shows respect to the athlete/coach relationship.
